Great book by a queen of suspense
The world as it then existed and unfortunately as it is once again becoming. As good a read as it was years ago when I first became acquainted with the author.

The master of spy novels strikes again
I have lived Helen machines for decades . She is the master is her genre.
No need for sex, bad language or violence to “pad” her story .
No confusing plot twists !clear and present danger displayed in all her books.
So glad audible finally picked up her titles.
Narrator was pretty good after I got used to his voice.
I Would have loved to have George Guidell or Simon Vance to give it a try?

Double Image
The narrator’s voice is a bit too monotone. But overall the story is ( as always with MacInnes) good enough to make this an excellent listen/read.
