Publisher's Summary

The 100-year-old Doll family, beautifully crafted china dolls passed down through four generations of girls in one American family, meet their new neighbors, the Funcrafts, a doll family made completely of plastic and delivered straight from the factory shelves.

Annabelle Doll is eight years old. She has been for over 100 years. Not a lot has happened to her, cooped up in the dollhouse, with the same doll people, day after day, year after year...until the Funcrafts move in. Now Annabelle has a friend. Sure, she's made entirely of plastic and she's living in the scariest room in the house, but she's an adventurer, and after 100 years of boredom, that's just what Annabelle needs.

Great story and narrator

This is such a wonderful book and the narrator only adds to the story.
She does an amazing job with the different characters.

I love that this book keeps you intrigued and completely engaged without needing to make the story too scary or sad.

My seven year old son loved listening to the audio version on a recent road trip.

Good book for my 5 and 7 year olds.

We got this book because my 5 year old girl was bored with all the "boy" books. she was engaged for the entire book. My 5 and 7 year old boys loved it too, despite their initial reluctance based on the title.

It was my favorite book in elementary school

I adored this book as a kid, and this is coming from someone who used to dislike reading when it was forced for education. The narrator brought the characters to life just as I imagined them back them. Very enjoyable listen.
