Not the best

I am a big fan of Fred's since "Day of the Jackal"
Before Audible I read everything he penned.
I feel the novel was better than the reading and the movie with Christopher Walken was over the top!
Unless you are die hard fan you might not enjoy the precision planing that overwhelms the story.

Another great book from Forsyth

I recently bought and listen to "The Cobra"...it has been some time since I read some of the authors books...but having read this many years ago...decided to do it again...this time listen and not read.....it is just as good the 2nd time around....

Enjoyed the story but background noise

As usual enjoy Frederick Forsyth and the story remains relevant. There was background noise that sounded like speech so when I first started listening on my headphones while walking I kept looking around wondering who was talking

Good book.

Performance was fine but the recording is poor, with digital audio artifacts that distract from the experience.

Very interesting listen!

While this book is a story of mercenary action in Africa, one kid almost use it as a blueprint for how to do a coup d'etat back in the '80s.

There is a very good plot twist at the end which is well worth the time to get to.

I would highly recommend you listen to this novel if you like reading about mercenaries and their work in Africa and in Europe.

Great ending

There were so many names of people, it was complicated to follow and keep track of.

Slow in middle but stick it out!

Got alittle slow at some point had to set it down for couple days after picking back up flew through till the end well worth it.

Outstanding story and narration

Interesting tale and characters with exceptional narration. Will definitely look for other books by this author.

One of the Best books of all time.

This book is so good. The movie version of it is ok but doesn’t do it justice. One of the best books ever written.
