Publisher's summary

One moment of madness ended it all. A flare of temper, a thrown punch, and Jay Ruttman’s dream of being a footballer evaporated.

Thrown out of the Pro Academy, Jay falls back to Plan B. University. At least he got accepted onto the sports scholarship. It might keep his dreams alive. Now he has a new plan: Head down. Train hard. Get scouted. That plan does not include falling for a rock musician - the last thing he needs is a posh muso stirring up those well-hidden preferences that could end Jay’s career before it can even begin.

Sebastian Saunders is out and proud. This rich kid rock musician wants to live it up, chase the dream, and rock out for as long as he can, dodging his millionaire father’s plans for him to take the helm of the family business. He has a strict rule that he doesn’t date closest cases because he’s been there, done that. So that should mean not falling for shy, sexy footballers, no matter how pretty their baby-blue eyes are.

For the sake of his heart. And both of their dreams.

The District Line series is a new adult, opposites attract, first-time, hurt/comfort, sports/rocker, contemporary MM romance serial featuring an East End Cockney footballer, a West End elite public-school boy gone rogue, and the London tube line that connects them both.

This box set features the full novels from the original trilogy series, Kick Off, Break Through, and Come Back.

Worth the buy

I really did love this book and Gave 5 stars overall but only 4 for story. Don't let that stop you from buying it but I would like to explain why. The couple in these books were so amazing but they had so much pain that I just wished we got to see more good times then bad. Why did we have to wait for 3 books for them to stand strong together. I know it's the story line but I wished for more good time's. not so much heartbreak. I am torn about buying book 4. I want to see this couple more but I'm afraid for more heartbreak. I will hopefully read the reviews and see if my heart can handle book 4.

Great story. Great narration.

This was a beautiful love story with the highs of new love and the lows of losing love. I probably would have been an emotional mess if I hadn't read the box set. Just reading the first book by itself would have been anguishing. Seb and Jay are so easy to become attached to.

I enjoy a well constructed sports romance because I am a lifelong athlete who appreciates the struggles of balancing personal life with sports life. CF White does a great job of including the challenges of sports without spending to much time on details.

Piers Ryman is a spectacular narrator who adds depth to all the characters with his performance.

Love the couple but their angst was a little too much at times

I really liked the main characters and their feelings are well caught and displayed. But throughout the three books their doubt in each other and themselves gets a bit much for me so that I skipped at parts. I felt that they should have been more clear about their feelings already and rather have the outside issues on them (without always starting the doubt again). Both had proven their feelings already to great extend. I would have rather had issues lie Seb’s drinking (which was just a no topic suddenly) or his relationship with parents more delved into.
But the end book 3 is smooth and happy. If you like HEA you have to read at least to book 2.

The narrator grew on me and in the end I highly enjoyed him.

Altogether an enjoyable listen
