A murder mystery with mermaids, count me in!

I really loved the premise of this book because I love mermaids and murder mysteries. The suspense of the plot builds up really nice and it start with mermaid sighting being rare to being with. I also really like the narration for this book. It certainly made it an enjoyable listen to say the least!

Mystical Murder Mystery

This book is a well written mystical murder mystery set on the coast. The author does an excellent job of blending in suspense to keep you rurning the pages. The narrator is excellent as well which is an essential ingredient in any audiobook!

Great story, excellent performance

From the beginning of the story I was hooked and wanted to keep listening. There was also great character development which kept me more engaged in the story.
The performance was excellent, read at just the right pace and animation to keep the story moving. She also distinguished characters voices and accents enough to bring them to life and distinguish them without being distracting.

Compelling and relatable

Each mermaid sighting in this book signals another thrilling twist in the plot, making the book impossible to put down as we race to uncover the town’s dark secrets. The author’s skilful storytelling and rich character development ensure that the narrative is not just a mystery, but a fascinating exploration of small-town dynamics and folklore. Viola Fox, is a compelling and relatable protagonist who carries the suspense in this gripping murder mystery, keeping readers hooked from the first page to the last.

Jen Purcell is at it again. She already has a couple of stellar books under her belt, and she's going for more!
A great murder mystery with some twists all the way through the book and especially at the end.

A great narration job by Zoe Flack.

I love a well written murder mystery and this was it. Set against a backdrop of folklore and small town secrets, the story was fascinating. It kept me hooked till the end with its myth and reality thrill. The characters were solid and would recommended for mystery fans.
