Publisher's summary

"When My only-begotten Son returned to Me, forty days after the resurrection, this Bridge, namely Himself, arose from the earth, that is, from among the conversation of men, and ascended into Heaven by virtue of the Divine Nature and sat at the right hand of Me, the Eternal Father, as the angels said, on the day of the Ascension, to the disciples, standing like dead men, their hearts lifted on high, and ascended into Heaven with the wisdom of My Son - 'Do not stand here any longer, for He is seated at the right hand of the Father!' When He, then, had thus ascended on high, and returned to Me the Father, I sent the Master, that is the Holy Spirit, who came to you with My power and the wisdom of My Son, and with His own clemency, which is the essence of the Holy Spirit. He is one thing with Me, the Father, and with My Son. And He built up the road of the doctrine which My Truth had left in the world. Thus, though the bodily presence of My Son left you, His doctrine remained, and the virtue of the stones founded upon this doctrine, which is the way made for you by this Bridge. For first, He practiced this doctrine and made the road by His actions, giving you His doctrine by example rather than by words; for He practiced, first Himself, what He afterwards taught you, then the clemency of the Holy Spirit made you certain of the doctrine, fortifying the minds of the disciples to confess the truth, and to announce this road, that is, the doctrine of Christ crucified, reproving, by this means, the world of its injustice and false judgment, of which injustice and false judgment, I will in time discourse to you at greater length." Great material - poor narration

A woman narrating the voice of God the Father is not a good fit IMO. What makes it worse is her frequent weird inflections that make it impossible to immerse oneself in listening to the words of the Almighty. It’s like listening to a preschool teacher speak on things of profound importance. The material itself is wonderful with many gems of wisdom.

Full of Spiritual Insight

Catherine of Siena gives a stirring look into devotion to God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. Like the other mystics, her work is relevant to today's world and the current circumstances and controversy threatening the Catholic Church.

Blessing

A true blessing for the intellect and soul. the voice actor brought the gravity and beauty of the topic to life with her ernest portrayal of St. Catherine's writings.

A Profound Map for Spiritual Guidance of the Soul

Wondering what God seeks, asks, wants and begs of His creatures through their own free will? How we “look” to God? How we can mess up other people’s goodness? Why so many simple things we do, in the ways He demands of us, cause Him so much joy or heartache? Then you need to read this book!!

*I strongly encourage starting this book, and beginning each new chapter of this book, with deep prayer & solitude. Read or listen to it in a place where you will have no distractions.

Ask God to open the “Eye of Your Intellect” and help you understand what He has put forth. This supernatural, informational and beautiful guide for the soul is DEEP! More than likely, I’ll be listening to St. Catherine’s Dialogue a second, a third and a fourth time.

Excellent narration

A difficult book to read but the narrator made it seem as though St Catherine was speaking to me.

Excellent read/listen

I read (listened) over 1 week while driving my kids to school, it’s a long ride. The reader was clear and articulate. I got a lot out of it and will read or listen again because just once only scratches the surface of this book. St.Catherine, Doctor of the Church, pray for us.

Hating sin and Loving Virtue will bring you closer to God

This book is amazing and beautifully done, packed with so much, written hundreds of years ago yet so relevant to today.

I was familiar with this book long before I read it and I wish I had read it much sooner I highly recommend this book to anyone and if you are Catholic put this on your must read list!

This book is a no nonsense guide to bring a person towards closer union with God. It pierces the soul and kindles the flames of fervor. The book is a dialogue between St Catherine and God and Him speaking to her in regards to some questions she has.
She is a saint and doctor of the Church at the end it deals with the end of her life which was really good. I plan to reread (listen)

The narrator does a fine job of reading this book but it was as if I was listening to St Catherine herself speak to me.
