Really Good. Love it!

I’ve read Thirteen and Fifty Fifty and I think this book is the best so far. Love the socio-political issues interwoven into this action crime thriller story. I also find the voice actor really good. Even though he was just one actor acting out so many characters he tried to make each one sound different and I had no difficulty distinguishing which character is which. My only criticism is that I was disappointed when I found out who The Pastor really was and I kinda felt there were no breadcrumbs leading to the revelation of his identity.

My opinion on the novel

There are a lot of books I’ve read on Audible and I normally look for suspense and mystery arguments. The Devil’s Advocate has been one of the books I’ve liked most. I didn’t know the author and now I’m very pleased I’ve come to know him. The narrator is outstanding and makes you live each character. Now I look forward to find more books of Cavanagh.

Deliciously over the top

I’m a little gutted that this is the first Steve Cavanagh book I have read, because I found out during my listen that it was book 6. This had me on the edge of my seat. I was looking for a nice law thriller, but this was even more than I expected. I instantly loved all the characters. The bad guys were over the top evil, but not in a terrible way. It suited the story and the ending really tied everything together. I enjoyed the author’s narrative voice. It’s a great book.
The narrator was okay. He had a pleasant voice but my one complaint was that he could only do two different kinds of voices, so if I wasn’t paying very sharp attention it was difficult to make out who was talking
