Delilah, the female lead has plans to marry and live her life on a ranch, however, those plans are deterred when events take a turn for the worse.

This story took the term "Wicked West" to a hole new level.

I don't want to give too much of the story line away but I will say that it moves along rather quickly.



Irina Stone did well with the overall narration and an Excellent job with the Devil's voice.

Hits the Mark !!

The Devil and Delilah: Delilah Devilshot, Book 1 in its brevity, really did leave the listener hungry for the next installment. The narration had the perfect mix of innocence with just a dash of sultry world weariness when the debauchery was done. The intimacy was well written when it would have been very easy to sink into a raunchy description of the coupling. If this genre is your cup of tea, The Devil and Delilah: Delilah Devilshot, Book 1 would be well worth your time.

Wicked

This is a truly crazy tale. It's short and directly to the point. I wasn't really expecting this, yet at the same time. .. not all that unexpected. The Devil, after all is the bad guy. I really want to know what happens in the next book. This book, for as short as it is, was full of wickedness and detail.

LOL. This was pretty darn hot. With books under 2 hours, I always accept that the characters aren't given a lot of time to develop, and there's no exception here. Plain and simple, it's an erotic tale. The Devil thrown it makes it sinfully wicked, too. Not a cliffhanger, per say, but you're left with the clear knowledge that this story will continue.

The narrator did a wonderful job. My only complaint is her voice sounds older than how I envision the characters.

The Start Of An Erotic Supernatural Western Series

“The Devil and Delilah: Delilah Devilshot Book 1” is the beginning of a promising new series. I have several other books by Alana Melos and consider her to be a very talented writer. At this point, I will pretty much try anything she writes. “The Devil and Delilah” was no exception. Set in the old west, Delilah is about to marry her fiancee and move to her fiancee and her father in law’s farm. Then, terrible things happen that finally leave Delilah dying and alone.Before she passes away, a devil comes along and offers Delilah a tough deal to save her life.

Now I also understand from a business standpoint, the act of serializing a story into multiple installments can be very lucrative. I just ask that each installment be of a satisfactory length. For me, book 1 of “The Devil and Delilah” is just too short. I wanted more in the first installment.

Irina Stone does a great job with the material. She not only has a very pleasant voice, but she also brings the material to life with her narrative skills. Ms. Melos doesn’t seem to keep the same narrator as she moves from one project to another, but she always seems to find very talented narrators.
