Jesme...... So bad

This book is amazing, and the voice actor for kaier was spot on, UT the voice actor for jesme was so bad, I skipped her sections completely.

Incredible

If you have made it to book three, then you must like the series. Even though you haven’t listened to it yet, you’ll be desperate for book 4. Book 4 isn’t released till July 10th 2018 so it’ll be a rough wait for you. I bought an ebook because I can’t wait even a day to read the next book. Mine as well buy book 4 if you buy this.

And the store drags on!

What started out to be such a great story in the first book has now become slog through the mud. I really think the name of the book series needs to be renamed from the Destroyer to the Captured. If he keeps this storyline going I’m sure every in character the book will be captured at least once and then find a way to escape. God I really hope the next book is the last one. The only reason i’m finishing the series now is I’m so deep into the story now I would like to see how it turns out. But if he keeps dragging it on like this book then I’m done with it, it’s not worth the aggravation. I am very disappointed in all the clichés and gimmicks the author uses to drag this store on. This whole story gives me a feels like I am reading a screenplay not a Fantasy novel. What I mean by that is all the intricate detail description of environments and little actions the characters all doing from one moment to the next. Who knows maybe the author hopes this might be the next Game of Thrones. It definitely has the potential for that.

Form ok to worse

Book one was okay enough I moved on to book 2. That was a slog... my issues from book one continued in book 2 but they made it so much worse by adding Xe Sands in as a second narrator. Her voice and cadence and style are all so jarring it is not a good experience. Unfortunately I purchased books 2 and 3 at the same time. I’m slowly working my way through but I honestly will probably just return these. I have 40 audiobooks in audible and about 370 in iTunes with various narrators but Xe Sands has got to be the worst I’ve ever listened too. Her portions of the book make me want to just shut it off as I often do. I was cruising through 5-10 audiobooks a month until these last two destroyer books and now it seems I’d rather sit in silence at work or while doing the dishes than listen to her awful narration. It’s a shame because I really like a lot of Michael Scott-Earle’s stuff.

still hate female narrator

i truly wish they would find another female narrator! Sands takes too much away from the story!

Story pretty good, narrating detracts at times

I keep listening to see where the story goes, but Xe detracts from the experience. She uses the same cadence at style with both female characters. I also just really didn't like any part from Jessmae's perspective. She just isn't a compelling character

I honestly didn't care for the first book but

it has greatly gotten better over the course of the series. If the next book is better I'm going to be excited to dig in to it.

Waste

Jumps around way to much to keep track of what's going on and honestly my perfect ending for this series would be for all the characters to die.

Get rid of the tramp princess!

Good book. Has great characters. The princess is not one of them and the writer has this thing for the slut. She should have been killed in book 1. Very disappointing.

Could have been a much better book.
