Great Listen!

This was a nice surprise. From the cover, I though it was going to be light on the story and heavy on the heat factor, but this was actually a very good, well-written, full-length novel with no cliffhanger (YES!!) with likable characters. Oh yeah, it was hot, but the sexy times were not the main focus. I wasn't sure I was going to like either the H or the h, but they totally grew on me. I ended up really liking them, as well as the supporting characters, and loving this book! I look forward to more from this author.

Aria Abienta has good male and female voices, inflection and the right use of emotion. I had no issues with being distracted by mispronunciations and thought that overall she did a good job. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

I didn't want it to end!

Right some the start, I loved the female lead! she was so down to earth, and someone I feel I would be friends with. Taking this trip with her in the secret world of getting paid for sex.. but not in a low class cheesey street walker way. I would of done the same thing in her shoes. Ok I’ll admit it.. who would not love to be spoiled by a man? shopping trips, spa trips, oh and the shoes and clothes! and the great food! sign me up! OK Iwell not really, but in fantasy, I am all in.
Loved this book. I was actually sad that it was ending. I knew it was coming, and I kept hoping every chapter was not going to be the last. but it finally ended. I was bummed. I wanted to hear more! This book will go in my repeat list, and I am sure Ill listen to it a dozen or so more times.
This is kind of like a modern day Pretty Women, but so much better. if you liked that movie, you will love The Deans List!


Aria Abienta’s performance was spot on and I do hope to to hear more from her.

Audible Re-Read

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! I have recommended the Kindle version to many friends and now I am happy to be able to recommend the audio book too!

What did you like best about this story?

This story is completely original, I loved the basis of it and the character development. There were so many great surprises that happened through out the book that I kept guessing how it would all work out.

I recommend going on to book 2 in the series, Honor Roll, for a insight on Luca Gregorio.

What The!!!!!!

Perhaps this was a good story but the narrator was speed reading through the whole story. Then the author had best friend who talked almost everyday not know that one was living in a plush apartment and being an escort to two professors. The Deans List is really an opportunity to suspend everything you even think about grad school and throw it out the window. Lots of sex if that is what you read a book for. I enjoy a scene or two but not the whole book.
Did not like the story and definitely did not like the narration.

wow, what a story

this story was amazing, the main character goes into a life changing, drama fill job experience that leave you begging for more. the narrator did a great job and all the characters where played well. i hope there's going to be a book two

Enticing Story of Sexy Co-Eds, Lust and Love

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! This has by far been one of my favorite books in this genre... I loved the back and forth meeting of the minds... and bodies... between the main character, River and Jonathan - the oh-so-delectable and emotionally unavailable scholar chosen to be her "mentor". I also found River's story so engaging - coming from such a conservative background to discovering a whole new side of herself, and reveling in it.

What did you like best about this story?

I was so intrigued by the idea of this secret society these people created where only the most attractive, and smart people are paired with their equals in an effort to create not only intense sexual situations, but also a layer of networking. I had some sexy experiences back in my college days, but none as enticing as this...or as well-paid for that matter! :)

What about Aria Abienta’s performance did you like?

Her voice is like laying in freshly-washed, 1500 count, Egyptian cotton sheets... Every word, every sigh... the way she describes each detail of the story elevated the already great writing. I listened to the entire book, and was actually sad when it ended... Aria is like the sexiest, gentle guide taking you on a journey of self-discovery and lust in this book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did have to break it up due to the length, but every time I had to walk away, I couldn't wait to come back to it and see what happened next.

I thought it was extremely well written, and I loved the narrator. I can't wait to download other books by Aria Abienta... So excited to have discovered her. And bravo to Kelly Collins for keeping me entertained for 8+ hours with such riveting characters and an exciting story!

twisting plots

The plot of this story interesting, as this is probably 100% true. River and Jonathan had great chemistry throughout the story. River navigated through her early 20s: from hitting rock bottom to landing on top. The story line is written to show the importance of self esteem and what it can provide to you and those around you.
Kelly is a go to author. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves second chances and HEA.

Not Erotic

This book is more saucy Chick-Lit than erotic. Whilst well written and narrated it is so slow that I gave up on it after about 100 minutes, by which time there had not been a single erotic scene, only a few sexy references. Disappointing as it had a promising start!
