Publisher's summary

Tyrel Sackett was born into trouble but vowed to justice. After having to kill a man in Tennessee, he hit the trail west with his brother Orrin. Those were the years when decent men and women lived in fear of Indians, rustlers, and killers, but the Sackett brothers worked to make the West a place where people could raise their children in peace. Orrin brought law and order from Santa Fe to Montana, and his brother Tye backed him up every step of the way. Till the day the job was done, Tye Sackett was the fastest gun alive.

True Enjoyment

Louis L'Amour kept my attention; not if but when something would happen to a Sackett. Truely an enjoyable and easy listen.

My favorite author

Always a favorite read! Really nice to listen to it for a change. Louis L'Amour is excellent and accurate with details for the era.

Great story needs to have great support

LaMore creates another thrilling western adventure involving the Sacketts. Unfortunately the narrative leaves much to be desired especially when performing women’s voices.

A great read, err, listen!

I took The Daybreakers with me on a business trip. I found myself wishing the flight would take more time! David Strathairn does a very good job with the narration. His delivery is spot on. And what can be said that has not yet been said about a L'Amour Sackett saga? This is simply one of America's best storytellers at his best.

I absolutely love the Sackett series. This book was expertly read and seems I could feel emotion from the reader where it was needed. Great job.

Finally!

1st Louis L'Amour book I've ever read. Never thought of myself as a guy for Westerns, but this is just good writing--and reading!

Oh my goodness!

My grandfather read this book. My father read this book. And I’ve just revisited it this week. So many lessons here that apply today. In particular the American rights of the individual. Both my sons will read this book.
