Publisher's Summary

An audiobook of poetry that often lingers in the darker corners of rhyme, this collection offers everything from the slightly twisted to the nonsensical, with a few "shady" stops in between. Fantasy, myth, and legend bring a touch of light to the morbid and the morose.

The Dark Ones revisits a selection of poems published in The Soul Bearer and The Moon Queen, edited and slotting in perfectly with many newly written and never seen before.

A great set of poems

Would you consider the audio edition of The Dark Ones: A Collection of Rhyming Poetry to be better than the print version?

I love them both, i like the audio version as it plays nicely on my phone and I can listen to it in the car. I like the print version as I can put my own inflections in the reading.

Any additional comments?

I have read Bex Pavia poetry and found this one much darker as the title implies. Its very good and the reader was easy to hear and read the poems well. I really suggest getting any of the authors books either paperback, e-book or audiobook. I highly recommend this author. My personal preference is E-book.

First time listener

Would you consider the audio edition of The Dark Ones: A Collection of Rhyming Poetry to be better than the print version?

For me poetry is better in print.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

There is no ending in poetry books.

What does Saethon Williams bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Wonderful voice. Very easy and enjoyable to listen to.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

n/a

Any additional comments?

I was gifted the audiobook in return for an honest review. I have never used audiobooks before but can tell that they are marvellous for people with sight issues or listening to without having to hold a book. Poetry is not my favourite genre but I don't dislike it. Having an entire book of poetry along the same subject was just too much.
