Publisher's summary

Michael returns to fulfill a promise to his love, but the world isn't the same place.

Michael, the Archangel himself, has returned after a hundred and fifty years rejuvenating in the Etheric Dimension.
Now, the most powerful male Vampire the world had ever known is back.

The problem? The world went through an Apocalypse and what little honor and justice that previously existed, is gone. Further, his love has left to the stars somewhere, fighting for those on Earth.

Now, Michael has to figure out where he is, where he needs to go, help those who need help and figure out how to follow in his love's path. Because if there is one thing that Honor Demands, it is that he make good on his promise to Bethany Anne.

Those feeding themselves on the backs of others have very little time to realize an important fact.

This Dark Messiah has little compunction about killing.

Performed by Eric Messner, Joel David Santner, Jonathan Lee Taylor, David Cui Cui, Danny Gavigan, Jon Vertullo, Stephanie Nemeth-Parker, Tanja Milosevic, Rob McFadyen, Alysia Beltran, Bill Gillett, Bradley Foster Smith, David Zitney, Earl Fisher, Emily Beresford, Henry Kramer, James Konicek, Jilian Levine-Sisson, Karen Novack, Keith Richards, Ken Jackson, Martin Dickinson, Matthew Bassett, Matthew Schleigh, Michael John Casey, Mike Carnes, Nanette Savard, Nick Russo, Nickolette Kong, Patrick Boylan, Rayner Gabriel, Richard Rohan, Sara Matsui-Colby, Scott McCormick, Steve Wannall, Terence Aselford, Torian Brackett, Wyn Delano, Yenni Ann, and Zeke Alton.

Critic reviews

"A full cast, bolstered by a pulse-pounding score and subtle sound effects, tells the story of a Dark Messiah who finds purpose in the aftermath of the apocalypse.... Eric Messner narrates in a casual tone that gives the other characters opportunities for emotive acting. Rob McFadyen stands out as the brutal Michael, but every voice seems to revel in the violent action and snappy dialogue. The music shifts from a cinematic-sounding score to catchy rock. Fans of the series and newcomers will be swept up in a thrilling production that blends science fiction and urban fantasy." (AudioFile)

Michael Nacht

It’s been so long since I read this so it wasn’t as instantaneously awesome that Michael is alive. His adventures are cool and I love dramadapt so I’d def recommend in addition to BA’s books.

Return The Patriarch

Michael finally is healed enough to manifest in the normal plane. He finds that honor is lacking in the current era. Nothing to do but correct those who do evil with extreme prejudice. He tries to minimize killing bad guys in accordance with Bethany Anne's desires, but after all, she isn't here right now. I like the story, voices, sound effects, and smooth scene transition.
