Worth it

As a fan of the Saga of the Seven Suns, this has been on my playlist for a long while. I am glad I finally came around to listen to it. Kevin Anderson does a great job in building a universe full of elemental, primordial and mysterious creatures without taking away from the human element.

Not all characters, new or returning, are equally interesting, however. But the bigger conflicts more than make up for the slow parts of the story. I hope the characters featured in the slower parts of the story have a more interesting role in the rest of this trilogy. Regardless, I am definitely going to buy the remaining two books as soon as they are available.

Truly a great read

The saga of seven Suns is truly an a amazing book series. I can't possibly say enough about them. I just hope they keep coming.

If you made it through the saga of seven suns then you will definitely enjoy this.

Great Book (from a non-fan of the genre)

What a wonderful surprise to listen to! I bought this on a whim not expecting much but never once regretted it. The descriptions are rich and vibrant allowing me to picture things not of this universe. I thought the narrator did a splendid job voicing the characters. I'd even be interested in listening to the sequel.

Great addition to the Saga

If you missing The Saga of the Seven Suns series, then this is the place to look to get that fix.

The only thing I thought was off about the book, the ending seemed a little bit rushed for some reason.

Other than that I would listen to it over and over again just like the other books in the series.

Mark Boyett makes this lengthy book worth listening to. Hard to keep track of everything that happens in the book, but a great story, worth the time.

Full of sociopaths

Characters were not relatable since many are sociopaths. Narration didn't fit some characters. Good ending.

If you haven't read the Saga of the Seven suns (all 7 books) then this might seem long...but setting up an epic tale takes time.

Really enjoyed the story.

I came by the author via the performer Mark B. I really enjoy his reads. Changing his tone and pitch for each of the characters. But after an hour or so into the story I went back to Audible to find more by the author and bought the next book. It's well worth the credit.!
