A must listen, to make parenting enjoyable.

I bought a printed copy of this book when I had my first son and never read it fully. He’s three years now and I enjoyed listening to this audio book. Everything in this book resonates so well with what we shouldn’t have done this last three years and I am happy that I’ve found these secrets to raising happy kids not very late. I highly recommend this and my sincere thanks to the authors and all who made it possible, including the Audible team 👍

Crystalizes what one intuitively knows is true

This (audio) book expresses and crystalizes factors that underpin the development of happy, confident and resilient kids (who grow up well-adjusted to be the same kind of adults). It brings to the forefront what we sometimes "intuitively know to be true" but yet cannot conceptualize it sufficiently to put it into words, actions or practice. Extremely helpful and for me, contains a number of "oh yea" (not necessarilly "ah ha") moments. Great listen and I will be embrace the practicalities of this approach with my two boys, eight and three.

Happier families

This book provide simple, effective, common sense steps that every family can apply to their lives immediately. It’s so easy to spend time doing chores and other activities that take us away from our kids. By involving our kids in more daily activities and spending quality fine with them without the need of electronics does make for happier kids.
I loved the idea of free play for our kids with their friends. It’s so easy to have them running from one sporting activity to their music class then back for drama class, but that time with her friends, I notice is when my daughter is happiest.

Really interesting concept

I knew about Hygge going into this audiobook, but some of the teaching ideas presented were new to me and really quite profound. They make a lot of sense of you subscribe to a certain idea about what you want for your kids.

if you're interested in and open to learning about different parenting styles and their impacts, this scientifically-supported book is for you.

A sweet little book

This was a nice read, and reinforced a lot of what I have learned through studying child psychology and in my daily life working with children. I would have liked to see the book go more in depth , but overall I thoroughly enjoyed the content, and the take-away messages seemed bang on to me.
