Powerful story about our Dickensian streets and courts really hard to stop listening - compelling stuff. Definitely worth reading

Outstanding

I had planned to write a pithy review of this, perhaps a joke about the lack of gavels (iykyk), and I did baulk at the first witness statement, but from then on it's simply outstanding and I'm quite taken aback. Compelling, daring, tragic, funny and sadly accurate.

I'll be thinking about this novel for a long time.
