Amber Tepes has only heard stories of such a thing. She is the daughter of the world’s foremost pyromancer. He's a prolific monster hunter, creator of numerous magical artifacts, and the most accredited scholar among the secret world of mages. Amber is only beginning her true practice of magic, but is already struggling to keep up. At this rate, she may never live up to her father's legacy, even though she's being taught by him.

To make matters worse, there's a new kid in her class showing her up at every turn. The worst part? His specialty is paper of all things. Before she can come to terms with this, the dark shadow of her father’s past will return to rear its ugly head, ready to shake the world of magic to its core.

This is a new kind of magic

There have been so many stories that try to blend the modern with the fantastical. But none of them have been as well thought out, believable, or as tempered as The Curse of the Wanderer. Magic won't destroy the world here, but it could ruin your day. Monsters exist, but they play by far more biological rules. Mages... have cellphones and eat at gas stations. The mind of the author here has spared no expense at making this world its own, but so familiar at the same time. I just hope to see the next one come out soon!
