A strange purple alien named Fursdohr uses the power of The Crystal Shell to transport Joey halfway across the galaxy to the planet Levari, where war is brewing between the tiny thimdalun and the warlike hanori.

The hanori have one objective, genocide. To protect themselves, the thimdalun built a huge fort-city named Walsdon. With both species still in the bow and arrow stage, the city seems safe until the hanori arrive at the gates with over half a million warriors. With that many invaders, Walsdon is a potential blood bath.

And Fursdohr drags Joey right into the middle of the budding war.

Facing the possibility of a painful death at almost every turn, Joey is led into life-threatening situations that make prison on Earth look like a cakewalk. His very survival is in serious doubt, let alone his dream of returning to Earth.
