The Cruise

This audiobook has a good story line Wonderful writing and awesome characters. I enjoyed listening from beginning to end.

Good story not great narration

Narration speed was very fast, running straight through natural pauses that made the story feel rushed. Non-British accents were terrible and distracting. Story itself was very entertaining, especially when Cara and Billy stopped off in different ports and explored their exotic destinations (and each other!!).

Totally Enjoyable!

I enjoyed listening to this romance. Lovable characters and exciting settings around the world made this a captivating story. I also appreciated the narrator's ability to express so many different voices throughout the story. Well done!

Good story

I liked the story, but the could hear the narrator take deeps breaths though the whole book. And it was a little annoying to me. But over all not good.

A lovely feel good escape

I enjoyed the escape and the world of the inner world of a cruise liner. Being from Cape Town, I especially enjoyed the local references (there were one or two questionable facts with what is visible from the top of Table Mountain, but most were correct and I'll forgive the author).

The performance was srong... She struggled with some of the accents, but they are also extremely hard to master and again, am willing to push past them.

In the end a good lesbian rom and a fine way to spend a day in lockdown.

Unexpected love

Life working on a cruise ship? I’d never really thought about it and Lise gives us a glance at what might happen on a long cruise. The two main characters start as friends, but the slow burn gets in the way! The glances and touches lead to more than friendship. What turns into love for two leads to another friendship falling apart. Will they be able to salvage their hearts in the end?
C.C. does a great job with the hot & steamy parts, almost making you feel like a voyeur during the scenes. Her voice characterizations are pretty good, with lots of different accents to work with. Overall, she does a good job, even though at times she sounds a little out of breath.
A good listen especially if you are thinking about listening to this on a vacation. You would be able to enjoy this one around a pool or at the beach. Maybe even while on a cruise! 😉

Good story

Well written romance, and some fun Cruise Ship tourism to boot. Lovely romance, girl meets girl, girl loses girl, and girl gets girl back again. Nicely done, with excellent narration.

Fun, steamy read

When I was in middle school I wanted to work on a cruise ship when I grew up. This never happened, so I enjoyed living vicariously through Billie and Cara. The chemistry between those two was full of electricity, and the storyline felt natural and realistic. I thought the narrator did a wonderful job.

The Cruise Took me on a wonderful trip aboard a ship full of characters that kept my attention rapt. There was humor, tension, passion and love. I recommend this book highly.
