Publisher's Summary

Three epic books of breathtaking space battles, unpredictable twists, laugh-out-loud moments, and an ending that you won’t forget any time soon. Pick up this epic space opera adventure today, and prepare yourself for sleepless nights, because as the fans of the series will tell you, these books are very hard to put down!

The box set includes:

Book One: The Crimson Deathbringer

When Earth gets embroiled in the middle of an intergalactic war, humanity's only hope for survival rests with a rag-tag team of unlikely heroes which includes an ace fighter pilot, a stuntwoman, a super-assassin, and an alien prankster.

Jim, a wise-cracking, OCD-suffering fighter pilot, is about to propose to his girlfriend when his friend Kurt surprises them by showing up at his house, wounded and covered in blood. This is just the beginning of Jim's woes, because soon after, his life is thrown into a galactic conflict that threatens the very existence of the human race.

Can our heroes save humanity from the wrath of a galaxy-conquering alien fleet?

Book Two: The Golden Viper

Will the galaxy survive?

Kanoor has fallen.

The Xortaags are back with a vengeance. Not being the forgive-and-forget types, they’ve conquered the Akakie homeworld, and now they set their sight upon Earth. Having reverse-engineered the advanced technology they scavenged on Kanoor, they now hold the key to rule the universe forever. It now befalls to Jim and his friends to save not only humanity, but every sentient species in the galaxy.

To make matters worse, an even more sinister threat is looming in the darkness. Unknown to our heroes, a time-traveling alien fleet is on its way to our neck of the galactic woods.

You thought the stakes were high during the first human-Akakie-Xortaag intergalactic war? You ain’t seen nothing yet!

Book Three: The Black Fleet

Just when you thought things couldn't get any deadlier, a massive fleet arrives from the future!

Thanks to Jim and his allies' efforts, there's finally peace in the galaxy...but all good things must come to an end.

The Black Fleet, hellbent on revenge, will indiscriminately ravage every planet on its way to Earth. This is the very definition of an extinction-level event, and nobody seems to able to stop the enemy ships in their tracks. To make matters worse, the Akakies are willing to sacrifice Earth to save their own species.

Having defied the odds a few times already, it again falls onto Jim and his friends to save the day, but can he counter such a universe-ending threat? And if he does, at what cost?

Great Series

If you haven't discovered the Crimson Deathbringer series yet, you are in for a treat. Sean Robins is an amazing writer. "The characters were especially likable, and the stories held my interest from beginning to end. C.J. Grey does an awesome job of doing the narrating. I received this 3 book set from the author in his promotion, and this is my voluntary unbiased review.

I fun listen, great space opera.

This took a while to get through...it is a massive volume, and nearly 30 hours of listening. But it is worth it. It has many of the usual elements...aircraft fighter pilot turned space-ship fighter pilot, fighting over resources, an interesting take on time travel. Overall well put together. Funny, I can handle time travel, aliens, and all the crazy things that go into science fiction story, but I have trouble with painting the ship of a superior officer a distinctive color because nobody wants to paint a target on their back, no matter how cocky they might be.

Anyway, great movie and pop culture references, and a lot of fun. Just don't get too attached to any of the characters (hero or villain) because there is a good chance they will not survive long.

Of the three books, the middle one was a bit of a disappointment...things just finished a little too cleanly for me, but the other two made up for it. Plus some great action and battle scenes.

Now I need to find the next in the series...

This is a great series. There's plenty of action and interesting characters. There is a lot of good verses evil grey areas. The narration is excellent. Many hours of enjoyable listening in this set.

Excellent story told excellently

Really an amazing series. Unpredictable and suspemfull. It's a must for any science fiction fan!

The book is also very well narrated, with the listener being able to identify each character by their voice.

Can't wait to listen to the last book.

Good Military Sci-Fi / Space Opera

A boxed set is always a good deal if the story is good and I think this is truly a good one. Reminds me a lot of Jeremy Robinson as the MC is stuck on movie quotes. Makes it feel familiar. At least for me it did. This set is three individual stories that build upon each other as a good trilogy should. I love it when each volume wraps up the story. This is NOT one story split into three books just for the money. Each one is truly a separate story. Would not want to read them out of order though.

The narration was decent. I have certainly heard worse. The narration seemed to set a dark mood just based on the narrators drone. Might have been a better listen at a higher speed but I tend to listen at normal speed because that is what was intended. I have only had to turn up the speed on one book and this was not that book.

I can easily recommend this series and three for one credit is a great way to get involved. However, there is at least one more book in this series that is not part of this set. And of course, the end of each book sets up for the next book so I really want to get the next one to see how the MC gets out of this one.

Great Space Opera

This was a great set and I really liked the character arcs of the main characters. A nice trilogy where were we had , what I call the "Lonesome Dove Affect" where the half the people you hate die, half the people you love die, and a bunch that you don't care about die.

I never knew who to get attached to and whom to get "un-not-attached" to.

All in all... five stars and a repeat listen!

Well written interesting book series

Great concept. Narrator is a little off for a couple of accents. The third book changes the way it writes dates from English to American well thought out. Looking forward to the fourth book
and also adds in chapter titles. A little depressing at the end but otherwise

Fun and fast paced

this was a highly enjoyable listen. well paced, likeable characters, and several twists I didn't see coming. Makes lots of pop culture references especially to other sci-fi properties, which I enjoyed. well worth a listen, you may find it hard to stop once you start!

Great story, very easy to listen to

I just finished The Crimson Deathbringer - my first encounter with Sean Robins - and thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's basically a space/alien invasion type story but has more than enough character to keep you interested. The characters themselves are engaging, and the story is well written.

If anyone reading is familiar with Craig Alenson's Expeditionary Force series, you'll appreciate a similar sense of humour running throughout the book, which is perfectly narrated by C.J.Grey.

All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable romp, easy to pick up and lose yourself in. Looking forward to delving into book 2!

Always guessing

This book is the first 3 books of the Crimson Deathbringer Series. It involves a group of mostly unrelated people who are drawn together to fight of an alien invasion. In the process they learn to trust and depend on one another.

The characters are diverse and some have serious flaws. Sometimes the self pity is a bit overwhelming. But as the series develop the group dwindle due to losses and the group learn to trust and move from one crisis to another.

The narrator has a very low voice and I had to adjust the mixer to get a good fit for me.

This book was provided free of charge with expectation of an honest reveiw.

Loved it

I really enjoy Sci-Fi films, but I have never read or listened to a Sci-Fi book until now. It is well written and very descriptive, with an awesome narrator. There's a perfect balance of action, mystery, humor, and drama.

This series is a trilogy with 30 hours of content for a seriously great deal. Sean Robins is a talented author.

Highly recommend. 5/5

“My life will be a strictly DC Universe from now on”

This is only the second “space opera” that I’ve listened to, so I don’t have much comparison in this genre, but I really enjoyed it.
It did have some issues for me if I’m being honest; I wasn’t keen on the practical jokes or the wanton use of mind control (and especially the practical jokes that utilised mind control) and early on I did consider giving up.
But saying that, I’m immensely glad I didn’t. Even with its few faults, the books really drew me in with the great stories, characters and epic space battles.
The narrator was great too and he did great portraying the tension needed during battles etc and has some great character voices.
All in all, a great listen and I’ve just ordered book 4 in the series!
This is my honest opinion on a free review copy.

If you like Dune and Star Trek then this is for u!

I rarely begin with the narrator, but in this case, I have to make an exception. Because C.J. Grey's voice is nothing but divine! It is deep and raspy, with just the right amount of voice acting. It really brings the multifaceted, well-made, well-rounded, and well-fleshed out.
The writing done by Sean Robbins knows that 'over explaining' can be at a detriment. He writes few descriptive words to paint enough of a picture or character - we will do to the rest.

It is a space epic through and through and this bundle truly is good!

Book 1: follows different plotlines but never loses a cohesive structure. We have a resistance, warring Alien tribes, under one baddie ruler.
Book 2: This is more of an outright conflict and follows one plotline, a good extension from the first book.
Book 3: Something unexpected and lurking in the shadow came forth, and definitely shook things up! You would be surprised...

It is not only an A, it is an A++
You are missing out if you love scifi.

Not your typical Sci-Fi Story

This is an awesome trilogy which is funny, well written with excellent narration and special effects.

Book 1:

This story is set between an earthly villainous ruler and 'The Resistance', and two waring alien species. The main characters are very likable with their eclectic personalities and special quirks which keep your attention throughout the book. They are interesting and you care what happens to them. The author clearly has a love affair with Sci-Fi, the book is rich with quotes from well known TV shows and movies that will make you chuckle along as you listen. If you are a Star Trek fanboy/girl this book will certainly be a lot of fun for you. In fact a lot of TV and film nerds will be happy with this. Overall this book was well thought out and well written, smoothly transitioning back and forth between the strategies of The Resistance and antagonistic storylines. This is a fun read and has a different take on an alien invasion that I've not come across in other literature.

Book 2:

In the second book the fight against the Xortaags continue as foes literally come back from the dead to try and overthrow the Akakies and Earth once again. Worldly tragedies are afoot with many regrets of casualties on all sides. Brain cells are pooled together to draw up action plans to strike back at the Xortaags, with many an old and new character fighting boots on the ground and in space. Tarq the quick witted mastermind continues to come up with strategic angles his adversaries least suspect. We see a slightly more mature Jim after the loss of his wife Elizabeth, but that doesn't stop him from annoying everyone with his quotes and debating scenarios with his inner Venom. Long hidden secrets float to the surface and all of a sudden the SHTF. And amongst all the drama and chaos, nobody knows the extent of danger lurking out in space ready and waiting to take revenge.

Book 3:

Wow, this author is not afraid to shake things up and it definitely shows in Book 3.

The usual suspects come together again to fight the deadliest enemy they have ever had to face with extraordinary consequences. I'm not going to say too much here as I don't want to spoil it but the ending was shocking and totally unexpected.

Super sci-fi

Crimson deathbringer is like nothing I gave listened to before. it had me on the edge of my seat with all its action but combined with humour. It took me back to star wars with wonderful characters being so unique that many could have their own series. A soap opera on another galaxy. I highly recommend this audiobook with a fantastic story and great narration. I look forward to the next one

⭐⭐⭐ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC⭐⭐⭐

This is a absolute gem this sifi action adventure is a must for anybody superbly entertaining. Great characters well written narration was Brilliant.
Book 1   Starts with A-war hero and his wife going out for seemingly normal evening When they bump into an old friend of Jim who just happens to be one of the biggest terrace on the planet Earth. What happens from there well plant earth is enslaved by an alien species called the zortogs there Is a fierce battle in space between humans and zortogs etc.
Book 2 picks up straight from the first book. the battle continues with Zortogs and the plot thickens with people back from the dead will there ever be peace. Jim continues with the humor and arrogance only he can pull off. . with a imminent threat lurking in the background that none of them is the wiser leaves me hanging on the edge
Book 3 picks up a couple of years after book 2. With the looman darkness that that awaited mankind in the shadows coming forth with devastating consequences. This EPIC third installment hosts great humor / story line & sadness nobody is safe with our hero Jim battling on though it all with unlikely friendships and some truly sad moments. can't wait for the next installments

The caricature building in these book is second to none I am so invested in them now
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
