Publisher's summary

Straight talk about the Holy Spirit.

When the Holy Spirit is confined to creeds, the church becomes like a land with no water or a kite with no wind. In his life and writings, A.W. Tozer was insistent that the church reclaim a practical theology of the Holy Spirit - that it actually know him.

The Counselor will help you cultivate sweet communion with God. Gifted at bringing lofty thoughts down low, Tozer explains clearly who the spirit is and what it means to know him. His words will leave you with a deep longing to be filled with the blessed spirit, to have joy, peace, life, and power in Him.

"[The Holy Spirit] wants to be Lord of your life, to possess you so that you are no longer in command of the little vessel in which you sail."

The Councelor

I pray all Christians are filled by the Holy Spirit and desire Him daily. It is not enough to be filled once. A daily and constant indwelling is what we to do the will of our Father.

I also enjoyed the narrator Jim Denison. God bless you.

Great message...

Deserves a better messenger. The narrator sounds like Siri's brother. The heartfelt spiritual truths in this book are hard to grasp from the lips of a robot. I found it frustrating to try to connect with Tozer's thoughts and heart on the subject of surrendering to the Holy Spirit.

I will have to read the book and I advise those who are thinking about buying the audiobook to do the same. Not worth it

Another A. W. Tozer classic

A. W. Tozer. brings the wotkings of the Holy Spirit into full light, as well as the need for the church to rethink its misconceptions about availability and access to the Holy Spirit for modern man. His logic is solid, his prose hard hitting, and his use of Scripture deep and detailed. Jim Denison does a good job of bringing correct tone, timber, and inflection to Tozer's words, which is an added blessing. Audible books are made or flayed by the narrator. Jim Denison helps instead of hindering. 5 stars across the board...

CLASSIC TOZER

Classic Tozer

For someone who went to be with The Lord in 1963, Tozer has prophetic insight into both the church today and the movement of the Holy Spirit! He is one of few I go to in order to clear the air when it comes to Christian doctrine. His timeless insight will guide pilgrims till He comes to take us Home again!

So powerful and challenging

Tozer brings truth again….he doesn’t mince words and challenges the believer to allow the Spirit to fill and overflow….not just top off our cups, so to speak.

It's Tozer!

The third most important person of the Trinity is the Holy Spirit the very Spirit that was not spared in Christ. In fact, the Lightbearer Lucifer once carried the same Spirit through heaven attempting poorly at bringing others back to the worship of the SON. If we could only do it over again what would we do differently?

Pretty good book.

This book definitely reflects the thinking and theology of the day. How far we've drifted from having this boldness to declare the word.
