Story
In a country torn between left and right, two politicians are about to make history. How? By working together! In a nutshell, that’s the premise of this book. House Divided is a political satire, but it’s really a political fantasy, because it takes two opposing candidates, who wouldn’t normally be caught dead together, and challenges them to spend a weekend in the remote Oregon desert - hiking together, camping together, even getting wasted together!

Story
One of my dad’s favorite jokes about getting older was: “I went out for coffee when I was twenty-one and when I got back I was fifty-eight!” I get what he meant now. Time flies. My first book, If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a "B" Movie Actor, was published back in 2001 and it chronicles the adventures of a “mid-grade, kind of hammy actor" (my words), cutting his teeth on exploitation movies far removed from mainstream Hollywood. This next book, an “Act II” if you will, could be considered my “maturing years” in show business, when I began to say “no” more often and gravitated toward self-generated material. Taking stock in the overall quality of my life, I fled Los Angeles and moved to a remote part of Oregon to renew, regroup and reload. If that sounds tame, the journey from Evil Dead to Spider-Man to Burn Notice was long, with plenty of adventures/mishaps along the way. I never pictured myself hovering above Baghdad in a Blackhawk helicopter, facing a pack of wild dogs in Bulgaria, or playing an aging Elvis Presley with cancer on his penis - how can you predict this stuff? The sheer lunacy of show business is part of the fun for me and I hope you'll come along for the ride.

Audio is a unique medium. It invites listeners to become a part of the process, to interpret what they hear, however they'd like; whereas motion pictures leave no such room for input. With the completion of this book, it dawned on me that, as an actor by trade, I could play the part; and I'm knee-deep in actor pals - why not record the book like a radio play? So that's exactly what happened. I rounded up an excellent troupe of thespians, from both Los Angeles and my home state of Oregon, and we recorded what was to become this epic listen for you to hear!

Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

Nineteen-year-old Greg Sestero met Tommy Wiseau at an acting school in San Francisco. Wiseau's scenes were rivetingly wrong, yet Sestero, hypnotized by such uninhibited acting, thought, "I have to do a scene with this guy." That impulse changed both of their lives. The Disaster Artist is Greg Sestero's laugh-out-loud funny account of how Tommy Wiseau defied every law of artistry, business, and friendship to make "the Citizen Kane of bad movies" ( Entertainment Weekly), which is now an international phenomenon.

I’ve been in this life for 50 years, been trying to work out its riddle for 42, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last 35. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me.

Publisher's Summary
I wanted to write another book, but I had already yammered on about myself in two previous autobiographies, so it was time to mix things up.
The Cool Side of My Pillow is a collection of essays. Don’t let that fancy word fool you. I’m not trying to get highbrow or rant myself blue, but there are experiences and observations outside of the entertainment industry that I feel are worth sharing.
What’s it about? Mostly, things that matter to me, like putting in the effort, being honest, and not treating the environment like it’s the enemy. Is it self-help? I hope not, but you will find musings about fame, mysterious carvings, UFOs, and my general disdain of loud noises. Is it political? If it is, I’ll refund your money. There are no conspiracy theories in The Cool Side of My Pillow, just snarky humor and a sincere desire for us all to find peace on Earth.
I hope you like this book. It’s my first effort at “self-publishing”, so there won’t be any national book tour, marketing blitz, or glowing reviews to get your attention – just me throwing it out to the “Inter-webs” and hoping you’ll find it.
Regards,
Bruce Campbell

Heart Broken
Unfortunately what I thought was going to be a wonderful fun interesting book about one of my favorite actors was nothing more than a book about politics and Bruce's take on it. The fact that we disagree wasn't the issue it was the fact that a lot of his points were false. I purchased this book in the hopes of an escape from all the political crap , but what I got was another disconnected movie star who thinks he knows what real head work everyday people think or the fact that for some reason he thinks we care about what some rich Hollywood snob thinks. Not only was I disappointed in the fact that I wasted my money, but also disappointed in the person. If you enjoy movie stars talking about politics you will love it. If you like books about your favorite movie star and how he got where he is keep looking.

Always a joy
I have loved all of Bruce's books and this one is no exception. This book, however, is more personal. He speaks of topics that wouldn't really fit into his biographies or Make Love the Bruce Campbell Way. This book is his thoughts on a vast number of topics from COVID19 to forestry. I hope that he keeps writing.

Too short!
I loved this book--Campbell's delivery was on point, and the stories were entertaining. However, the title is a bit of a misnomer. Most of the essays in the books are more reflections or stories than actual essays, but they were enjoyable just the same. The one exception is Campbell's piece on trees, of which parts were essay-ish. I enjoyed them all the same. My only complaint is that it is too short... I wanted so much more than was provided here, and I hope that he will do another installment.

Hail to the Chins that could kill!
This is a great book-let. A fitting denouement to the previous two Bruce Campbell books.
DO NOT TAKE TO HEART TO Heart Broken / Anonymous' 2-25-21 moronic review. There is NOTHING political in Bruce's books. He DESPISES politics. IN fact, Chapter 14, my favorite chapter, is "Everything I always wanted to say about politics"...crickets for 30 seconds.
Whether Bruce is a liberal or a conservative doesn't matter, and he DOESN'T want it to matter, and that's the beauty. If Hornywood would adopt Bruce Campbell's political stance, the world would be a far better place (and we should ALL follow the example).
Bruce Campbell, whatever his deeply held political beliefs are, is a fine and honorable American Citizen. He doesn't regale with this opinion about immigration or abortion or deficit spending. He is the preeminent B-Movie actor and that is his stock and trade, God bless him.
He is awesome, and even if he is a bleeding heart liberal, I would be honored to have a beer and talk about trees with him.
Onya Bruce!

Excellent views and stories
His biking out in the wilderness story is one of those could have seriously killed you events but after the fact is funny.
Love his practical down to earth views.
First book of his I have done. So while I like him as an actor. Burn Notice and the obvious Evil Dead. I am now liking him more as a person!
I didn't dislike him, I just didn't know him. This makes me feel like I know him more on a personal level. He would be someone I would love to sit and talk to or just quietly enjoy nature.

Maybe I'm being stupid but I didn't exactly know what to expect. If you liked if chins could kill and hail to the chin then it's more of the same, which is great. Once again read by the man himself, plenty of laughs from the sarcastic master.
