Full of Biblical Inaccuracies

Really wanted to like this, but this is full of errors. If they were "interpretation" errors that'd be one thing, but these are ridiculous. In the story of creation, it states that the mammals were created on the 5th day instead of the 6th. Says that it started to rain, and then Noah and his family went onto the still and sealed the door, inserted of God shutting the door 7 days before it started raining. Continually references Joseph as Jacob's "youngest son", says he is the only son of Rachel, etc.

Distracting Pronunciation

This Bible storybook isn’t badly written, and I would be fairly satisfied if I had ordered the written format. However, the audio recording is a disaster. While the narrator has a great voice and delivery, her pronunciations of names and places are so strange that I wonder if she’s ever heard a Bible story before. For instance, she says Canaan as kuh-NAN, Esau as eh-SOW, and Laban as luh-BON. I’m not sure whether the pronunciations she uses are meant to be authentic to the original Hebrew, but this is an English Bible marketed to American listeners, so I don’t understand the completely foreign pronunciations. My children find the differences so distracting they can’t pay attention to the story, and I’m constantly having to clarify which character we are learning about. I’m disappointed I wasted money on this, and I’ll have to continue my search for a decent children’s audio bible storybook.

Annoying voice

Her voice is hard to hear. Her ‘S’s are ear piercing and her god voice is silly. And speaks to slow.

Enjoyable but many names mispronounced

An enjoyable book to listen to but most of the names and places were not pronounced correctly.

Woe to you that add or take away from the word of God!!

I’m only a few chapters in and we need to return this... Bible inaccuracies EVERYWHERE and I’m not even sure why? These stories are spelled out the same way in every other bible translation so the only thing I can figure is unintended stupidity OR satanic deception targeting children! The creation story is odd Ns the days are off and Noah descend from SETH certainly NOT CAIN! I can’t even believe this has the reviews it has... WAKE UP PEOPLE. Read your Bible first so you can teach it to your children what the Bible actually says. So disappointed.

Too much noise reduction

Too much noise filtering leaves many words cut off at the beginning. Distracting to hear.

Every Christian Child Should Know

I gave this to a ten-year-old in our church and she really, really liked it! The stories are short enough and written really in a simple to understand manner. I am also using this with dementia patients I care for. The questions are really good to keep the reader/listener involved.

Good Stuff

Very nice short 1 chapter stories, short enough for younger readers to stay on track. Very descriptive bible stories with great talking point questions at the end of each page. Good soul calming reading material at bedtime.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Exactly what I was looking for. Just the stories. No editorializing. If you are looking for something more tender and touching this isn't it (you'll think it's dry) - but if you want to familiarize your child with the basics of the Bible sans a particular doctrine this is a winner.

True to the Bible but simplified

We had this book for our children growing up and they really enjoyed a story at bedtime or whenever. I saw this and decided our youngest grandchildren would feel the same about the stories. Haven't had the chance to read to them out of it yet.

Great book.

Great book. Perfect for kids aged 4-8. We added this story to our bedtime routine and it is working out great. It is a nice small paperback so you can take it with you when traveling.

This is an excellent way to introduce

This is an excellent way to introduce your child to the Bible truths. The Bible truths are summarized but sticks to the version you would read in the Bible.

True Bible Stories

This is a book with a bible story for ea h day of the year, written on a level they can read themselves and just one page each. It is a great supplement to lessons we have been teaching, the gospel in a nutshell.

Bible story

I've been buying this Bible storybook for many years now. It's known as a bedtime Bible storybook, but I'd like it to eliminate the reference to "bedtime," because it limits it to a children's book.

An Old Favorite

This book is suitable for any age, and it will help refresh the memory of anyone who has forgotten some details of the Bible stories they've learned as a child. I give them out as gifts. Anyone can enjoy listening to these stories.

Great bedtime stories

This is a good book for kids who are not heavily reliant on illustrations to stay entertained by books. The sparse images are simplistic, which makes it difficult to captivate younger readers. This is a great book for children who love to read and who are at an age where they can begin semi-independent learning of the bible.

My kids love this book!

My kids love this book! They read more than a few pages regularly. I got them these for Christmas, it is now almost March and they are still enjoying them. Great way to introduce kids to the Bible stories in a way they can understand them.
