Publisher's Summary

Clean romantic comedy by number one best-selling author, Chelsea Hale.

Mandy Jones goes at life alone. At least since her grandma passed away a decade ago. Wishing she could have fulfilled her grandma’s dream to travel more, she runs a successful business being a tour guide and companion for senior citizens who want to see the world. Her world revolves around connecting to her grandma’s generation.

Derek Thompson took over as CEO when his grandfather passed away. Trying desperately to prove himself to the world, he works long hours, dedicated to the legacy his grandfather left behind. When his grandma, Alice, decides to hire a travel companion, Derek just knows she’s being scammed, and joins Alice on a two-week trip to prove he’s right.

Sparks fly when Derek and Mandy meet. The cruise ship is not big enough to hold the annoyance between them. It will take several sea days to realize that both of their lifestyles are more similar than different, as they hide from their past and from their future.

Set sail with this Hallmark-style romantic comedy. The Companion is book three in the Sundaes for Breakfast Romance series.

Awesome Listen!!!

I adore this series Sundaes for Breakfast by Chelsea Hale! The books are so well written and each one is a standalone listen. The author writes incredible imagery and humor. Stacey Glemboski performs the book brilliantly. She adds the right emotion and attitude to the distinguishable voices of the characters. It is a delightful listen! I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

I Want to Read it Again and Again

I read and listen to books to escape, and this book takes me away better than any other. I felt as if I was on the cruise and in New York with Mandy and Derek, and their relationship was deeply satisfying. I love all the books in this series, and can't wait for more!

The Companion

What better job than to be a travel companion. Helping others fulfill their dreams of traveling, while getting to see the sites... but what if the grandson of your client is suspicious and thinks you’re trying to take advantage? Check out this well written story to find out!

This is the first book that I’ve listened to in this series and it is definitely a stand alone. My interest is piqued and I can’t wait to check out more of Chelsea Hale’s books.

I’ve listened to some of Stacey Glemboski’s other narrations, and she never disappoints. Well done!

Made My Day

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This story made my day. I loved how the hero was the one with more flaws and had to learn what was truly important. Grandma was a hoot and I am so glad that her grandson got the time to spend with her as he was busy trying to save her from someone he thought was stealing from her. The descriptions of the places visited and the onboard adventures really made the story come to life. The narrator did a wonderful job as well.

I adored this listen! Such a great story!

I drive a lot... like a lot and since I am stuck in L.A. Traffic for my work I spend HOURS on the highway. And even though I was barely moving on the 110 or any other said highway out here, I felt like I got to go on the cruise with the lead characters. That is a trick I want to see done more!!! This was an great experience! I got so caught up in this story and the miss understandings and the cute moments, along with the sad. It was so good, I went ahead and got the first two books in this series.

Now the narration. Stacey Glemboski was a jewel! She was so good! You felt the emotion and characters and everything was easy to relate to and to understand what was being said. She did such a great job!!!

All in all, this was a wonderful journey and I am glad I went on it!!!
I was provided a free copy of this book and I am leaving an unbiased review.

Perfect weekend listen!

This third book in the Sundaes for Breakfast series is a wonderful addition! I love these books, they are fun and romantic with a little bit of angst. This is the story of Mandy, who goes on vacation with solo travelers as their companion. She boards the cruise ship with Alice only to find out Alice's grandson Derek is coming along too. Derek is sure that Mandy preys on older people and scams them for their money while being their tour guide. He could not be more wrong. These two are at odds from the beginning, a form of foreplay and it could not be more combustible chemistry. Chelsea Hale develops the story so well, including the characters from the first two books, Liz and Coco so we can enjoy our Sundaes for breakfast. It's always fun when previous friendships are included, giving the stories a cohesive, comfortable feeling because we know these people! Derek is a great broody character, I love his protectiveness of his grandmother, but his stubbornness is so frustrating! And Alice is the best character in the book! The effervescent, join in festivities woman, who gives her wisdom to others without them even realizing she is giving advice! This is a great listen and hope that Hale continues the series.

Stacey Glemboski is once again perfect in her portrayal of these characters. She has such great feeling in her narration, and her voice is very soothing. I love her ability to give younger voices and in the same conversation have believable older voices. It is a very enjoyable performance.

The Companion

The companion was a sweet, easy reading romance. If you're looking for a nice way to spend an afternoon then this book is for you. The narration was excellent, and really helped to make something just a little more out of the story. I received a free copy of the book and am choosing to leave this honest review.

My favorite in the series!

I've listened to all of the books so far in this series and I must say, this is my fave!! Yes, there were some angsty moments (you know, the 'oh he/she really doesn't like me' variety) but even with that, this was a great story.

The narrations was off-the-charts good. Glemboski usually delivers a really good listen but she went above and beyond with this one. I felt like I knew these people!

It's October but I still consider this the perfect beach read.

Keep 'em coming!

I just love this series by Chelsea Hale. The audiobook experience is an all around great one thanks to the narrator of all of the books in this series, Stacey Glemboski. I really enjoy listening to her. She does a great job with making her voice believable for all of the characters, including a male and an older woman. This is just such a sweet series. I am hoping there will be more!! I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

A Sweet Feel-good Modern Romance

A lovely feel good romance, Derek and Mandy's story is a lovely addition to the Sundaes for Breakfast series. Of course the development of their relationship wasn't as easy as all that, but while they struggled to communicate and express themselves, their wonderful and warm relationship with Derek's grandmother carried the story through.

I really enjoy Stacey Glemboski's performances. She has a calm, easy way of performing that is very relaxing to listen to. Quite a significant portion of this story takes place on a cruise ship. Glemboski's performance definitely fit the setting of a gently rolling ocean holiday.

I would recommend this audiobook if you are looking for something gentle, sweet and romantic!
