Soren Kierkegaard was a Danish theologian, philosopher, poet, social critic, and religious author who is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher.

He wrote critical texts on organized religion, Christianity, morality, ethics, psychology, and the philosophy of religion, displaying a fondness for metaphor, irony, and parables. Much of his philosophical work deals with the issues of how one lives as a "single individual", giving priority to concrete human reality over abstract thinking and highlighting the importance of personal choice and commitment.

He was against literary critics who defined idealist intellectuals and philosophers of his time, and thought that Swedenborg, Hegel, Fichte, Schelling, Schlegel, and Hans Christian Andersen were all "understood" far too quickly by "scholars".

The narrator either had little interest in the books, is new to acting in any regard, or else has no idea how to read aloud. Its a bad production, I found myself losing track of what was happening all the time or found my mind drifting to random tangents or ideas while lisenting. The books themselves are good, but since you can't return audio books you pay actual money for, I am going to listen this again at a time when I have physical copies of the books to read alongside the audiobooks.

Overall, I'd pass on this, especially if you want to listen to this while doing something else at the same time.

Read while listening at the same time.

This is a useful collection, but it deserved a better production. The narrator shows no ability to grasp the pronunciation and rhythm of any language--his struggles with Goethe and Iphigenia are especially painful--and the recording has random pauses for no discernible reason

This needs a better production
