Sarah Morgenthaler is back with a heart-mending contemporary romance featuring a single dad you'll fall for; a satisfying slow-burn love affair; found family you'll root for; small town holiday magic; and all the quirky animals and snowy rustic scenes your heart desires.

Sienna Naples's family has taken care of their wild Idaho land for generations and Sienna can't imagine any other life. But at Christmastime, with her parents gone and her painful marriage finally over, it's full of memories… and incredibly lonely. Until a tall, handsome stranger and a little girl walk into her life and suddenly the holidays are alive again.

When single father Guy Maple shows up as the result of an ad meant to be a joke, the handsome Montana construction worker isn't joking. Money is tight this Christmas, and Guy's four-year-old daughter Emma has stage-five chronic kidney disease. She needs a kidney transplant, but if Guy can't prove that he can afford Emma's anti-rejection medications, his daughter isn't going to stay on the transplant list. Guy's willing to do anything, including marrying a stranger, to keep her safe.

It's an impulsive marriage of convenience, and Sienna knows this isn't real, no matter how much she adores Emma, how well Guy fits into the ranching life—or how much light and laughter is coming into their lives as a result. But the more time she spends with her new family, the more she fears losing the fragile, feisty little girl and the kind, devoted, hard-working, incredibly attractive man who is her husband—but is it only in name?

This is a great sweet and wholesome Christmas novel. I got it on sale and it was totally worth it! It is probably one of my of favorite’s of the season. Of course this is coming from someone who loves the sappy Christmas novels. It has like likable characters, small town charms, finding or connecting with family and friends and more sweet romance than spicy hot in holiday books. The narration was good adding to the overall enjoyment.

Very Touching Story!!

I came from the Moose Springs series so was not expecting something so serious. But stuck around anyway and wow, it's a tear jerker. Very emotional, but still sweet. Likeable and emotionally mature characters. Overall, I'm quite impressed by the author's versatility. Narrators voice was well suited to the more serious themes. I also really appreciate that we are now getting closed door stories that are still really good quality, no need to choose one or the other. If you're looking for a light romcom, this is not that but definitely worth saving for when you're in the mood for deeper feels.

Unexpected!

Sarah crushed it once again, but this time it hit close to home. She does so well writing about the realities of organ donation and alzheimer's disease. I worked in alzheimer's and hospice care. This book made me smile, laugh and cry. Not too long ago, my husband was saved by organ donation. In every possible way, this story felt so deeply personal and emotional for me. I applaud her work and I send love to her, because only someone who knows what it's like in some form could write such a beautiful story. The humor, the banter, the swoon.. chef's kiss. The animals and their antics, adorable. I love that there was no third act breakup or miscommunication trope in here. I could go on and on.. but you should read it for yourself and see.

I truly can't recommend this book enough. Just make sure you have some tissues on hand. 💗

Amazing.
