  • Japanese Cryptids - Yokai 妖怪 - CTDW Episode 45
    Apr 8 2026

Join hosts Ricky and Shelley on the Christian Theological Dark Web as they welcome special guest Austin Cox for a fascinating deep dive into Japanese cryptids and yokai.

In this episode, Austin shares his extensive knowledge of Japanese culture and mythology, exploring the mysterious world of yokai—creatures and phenomena that blur the lines between the spiritual and physical realms. From the Tsukumogami (objects that gain souls after 100 years) to the terrifying Gashadokuro (giant skeleton warriors), discover how these entities connect to deeper spiritual truths.

The conversation covers the Kappa (water-dwelling creatures), faceless monks, mudmen haunting rice fields, and even Austin's own potential encounter with a Tengu on a remote Japanese mountain. Along the way, the hosts explore surprising connections between Japanese folklore, biblical concepts, and the spiritual significance of Japan itself.

Whether you're fascinated by Japanese culture, interested in spiritual warfare, or curious about how ancient folklore reveals universal truths, this episode offers both education and entertainment. Austin's detailed knowledge combined with Ricky and Shelley's theological insights creates a compelling discussion that reveals how studying the "weird and fringe" can glorify the Father and uncover the works of the enemy.

  • There's a Shift Happening | CTDW Update
    Mar 20 2026

After an extended silence, Ricky is back with a long-overdue update on the Christian Theological Dark Web Podcast. In this episode, he shares what's been happening behind the scenes — personally, spiritually, and with the show itself.

God has been doing a deep work. Between shifting callings, life changes for co-host Shelly, and a season of personal renewal, the silence was necessary. Now, with a clearer sense of direction, the CTDW is moving forward with a new structure: weekly episodes alternating between English and Spanish, seasonal topic arcs, and guests joining the conversation.

The fringe community is changing too — fewer people feel called to be chronically online, and more are sensing a divine shift in what needs to be discussed. Tune in to hear what's coming in April and why Ricky believes God is pulling back the curtain on things the church can no longer afford to ignore.

As always — God bless, Shalom Shalom, and Maranatha. Come, Lord Jesus.

    Shalom, shalom… y Maranatha.

  • Why Reveal the Darkness? - Episode 42
    Oct 12 2025

Why should Christians expose the works of darkness? What does it actually do when we bring hidden things into the light? In this episode of the Christian Theological Dark Web Podcast, Ricky dives deep into Ephesians 5:11–13 to unpack one of Scripture’s most profound mysteries — that when darkness is exposed, it becomes light.

He explores the connection between the theoretical (what we know) and the practical (what we live out), challenging believers not just to study the unseen but to apply truth courageously in a world filled with deception. From spiritual warfare and threshold covenants to the mysteries of the ether and the “matrix” of reality, this episode connects ancient biblical wisdom with modern spiritual application.

If you’ve ever wondered why shining light on darkness matters — and what happens in the unseen realm when you do — this episode will blow your mind and strengthen your spirit.

👉 Listen now to uncover why exposing evil isn’t just confrontation—it’s transformation.
