Will Hayes is a nice guy, a good husband and a devoted father. He volunteers in his community. He has never had so much as a parking ticket. But, counter to the plans he and his wife, Brigit, made for their lives, things take a turn for the worse. One obstacle after another block their path to happiness. When Will faces the biggest setback of his life, the questions his daughter asks about death prompt him to take a hard look at both his past and his future.

Will he choose to continue on his path with only himself to answer to? Or will he choose to surrender his future to the one he turned his back on at his own father's deathbed when his prayer for healing had not been answered?

I enjoyed this because it's relatable. I liked that it made me think, shocked me and caused me to take a "real" look at the health of my faith. No fairytale.

Both Will and his friends both had a hand in his fate. God does not cause tragedies toccucur to teach us a lesson. the struggles we encounter a part of being mortal and dwelling in a human world. I believe God watches how we handle the struggles we encounter. Do we blame him and deny him which is indeed the path to Hell. Or do we choose to believe in his saving grace and lean on him in times of trouble.

Will's friends committed the mistake of righteous arrogance which drove Willl further away froom Jesus and his saving grace. They should tried to find out why he felt as he did then show him that God doesn't use tragedies to punish us. He simple wants us to lean on him and accept him as Lord and Savior.
