Jasper’s new duties keep him busy, as he trains a new deputy and deals with the usual small-town mischief. The locals come out in force with crafts, homemade goods, food booths, and a beer tent featuring locally made hard cider. After the two rival ball teams play, it’s time for fireworks on the beach.
When Jasper decides to ask Poppie to marry him, his traditional surprise proposal gets derailed multiple times. Will hard cider, a firework accident, wayward snakes, and a moment of panic prevent Jasper from asking Poppie the question she already knows is coming?

Third and final
This is the third and final book in Jasper and Poppy's story. It ends is a HEA but as with books 1 and 2, there are ups and downs along the way. For a small island where everyone knows everyone and all their business, the islanders still have their fair share of troubles. The narrator did OK. His mispronounciation of the word "gazebo" was grating.
