Publisher's Summary

The next super hero book installment of the Dark Spores series from award-winning author Braxton A. Cosby.

In a city of masked heroes, darkness hides the truth! A world mourning a fallen superhero.

Future Chicago has become the haven for criminals and super villains of the darkest order. When an experiment goes wrong, hundreds of humans (Normals) absorb a mysterious contagion that gives rise to amazing super powers, creating a new species: Super-Normals. Some use their super powers for good, while others use their gifts for evil.

Wars break out across the city, and it's Good versus Evil in a grudge match to destroy the other. A nightly reality show featuring both sides' daily endeavors to create interest, captures the attention of the entire planet and Heroes are worshiped, given any and everything they desire. But there are rules to living the good life, and when one Hero breaks the ultimate rule and kills a Normal, a manhunt erupts, pitting Heroes, Villains, and the entire police force against one another in a race to capture or kill the fallen superhero. But one lone rebel emerges, hellbent on solving the murder and unraveling the secret of the Dark Spores. Yet, in the process, one question remains: Will he choose the dark or light side?

Good Vs Evil

You would like this if you like comic books or super heros.
The book was not so bad but I found it to be predictable, however, the author puts his own take on super heros which I found different and I really liked the idea.

A good story with solid characters

A good story with solid characters, strong action and superheroes to boot. What else could you ask for? If not for the audio which dipped from time to time, I’d have rated it perfect. Good job by the author for doing his own reading too.

Loved one

The cover of the book was really cool and I appreciated the originality of the story as it skips along at a steady pace. Loved this superhero tale from start to finish, although the audio was a bit muffled at times.

Good listen, well narrated

The Cape was a pleasant surprise for sure. The multiple characters Cosby created were quite a challenge, but he did it very well like a seasoned write. His voice over was good too. Highly recommended.

Romantic story

Not much for a romance in stories, but this one wasn’t mushy and I felt for the main character as he struggled to walk the line between hero and savior to rescue the love of his life. Good times here.

Good story, like this

Good story, solid storytelling but the characters could’ve been a little better fleshed out. Still, 4/5.

Four Star

This was a 4 out of 5 for me. I liked the story was the audio was a bit choppy in some parts. Still, I’d give the second book a try.

Very good listen

Can’t say enough about the effort here by Braxton as an author a very ambitious story indeed but it ran very streamlined and kept me listening as the audio was solid as well.
