What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Any useful and practical advice would have helped. Not having a series of resumes and author biographies would have helped tremendously; that is essentially all the book is, a compilation of interviews of the writer's career with no attempt to apply their personal experience to help other writers. It would be nice if every other sentence was not I, I, I. It really makes the writer seem extremely ego-centric. It seems the writer was motivated to brag and the careers of those who provide advice was not very impressive anyways.
How could the performance have been better?
The performer's tone and voice matches the writing -- self absorbed. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment.Any additional comments?
I am still listening as I write this and I can honestly say I still have not heard anything that can be considered a tip, let alone a useful tip. This is not a book it is a lengthy advertisement which actually makes me not want to read any of the people mentioned.
Made it 2 hours with nothing useful or practical
