"A perfect example of bizarro fiction.... Every line is littered with wild and imaginative ideas." (Fangoria Magazine)

Brothers Divey and Reynold Crunk are two traveling breakfast burrito salesmen trying to make a living in the post-apocalyptic world of Planet Japan. After discovering a mutilated robot corpse in the middle of the desert, Divey mysteriously transforms into something abominable, setting a bizarre series of events into motion. Reynold follows his brother into the dark underworld of Tokyo, where there are no rules and old video game accessories are used as real weapons.

I took a chance on this story and was super surprised with the flow. And the excitement. And the great narration! In almost every other "humorous" story examples I can think of, the stories seem...fake, somehow. Like, "Hey. Let's turn the flow 90 degrees!" Lame.

The Brothers Crunk is so well orchestrated that you absolutely must put everything else out of your mind so that you can follow along. The detail, subtle humor, and flow will mesmerize you. I'm not going to give any details because I want you to experience the fullness of something fresh and funny.

I would love to listen to something else written by author William Pauley III, and even better, also narrated by Connor Brannigan. I'm going start searching now...
