In light of the recent events, and violence that sent shockwaves around the globe, the brothers turn to the Cross as a banner that can give us a tremendous amount of hope. What does the Holy Cross teach us about suffering in our world and in our personal lives? Suffering is often misunderstood, in the franciscan tradition suffering is redemptive which means that it can be a source of goodness, triumph and transformation.

We have the temptation even just simple distractions that can have us 'miss the moment' and neglect being aware and present to the "sacrament of the moment," which is in fact, an opportunity to be united to the Divine Will of God.
