Dang!! Such an amazing book with two climaxes (well, a lot more that that 😂😂)

These are getting better and better. Even though I knew what was happening at the end of the book, I still cringed and wondered how it would all play out.

These are some seriously f’ed up villains!

As always with Gary Furlong, a narration to envy!

Great story. Great narration.

Every volume in the More Heat Than the Sun series seems to be getting... hotter. Sigh. This book seem to be making up for all the horror by having a greater number of steamy scenes that lasted for more than a few pages. I think this was meant to thaw out the readers minds after the author sends Ben and Nikolas to a certain place in Russia during the winter because the evil author likes to torture the main characters and the reader.

I am equal parts overjoyed and horrified that I will be experiencing five more books worth of this torture... voluntarily, and I like it.

Narration by was wonderful. Hope the narrator was well compensated for the emotional torment.

So much going on

There is always so much going on in Nicolas and Ben's lives, and this part 3 is no different. My goodness, they can't do anything without it becoming a life or death situation.

I absolutely love the narrator. OMG! Gary Furlong has such a range of voices, I am never confused on who is speaking. And the way he acts out the scenes is soooo good. I laughed out loud at Ben and Nick goofing around with each other and Nick going all high-pitched, too much fun.

W.O.W.

I've quite fallen for this series. Three books in and I'm still being surprised, taken on dangerous adventures, and being romanced! I am just taken, this narrator is superb, the writing is creative and tantalizing, and I can't listen to anything else at the moment 🤍

WOW.

Just wow. This went DARK. Like really freaking dark. Holy sh*t, I could not turn it off. It had me on the edge of my seat. I do NOT recommend listening to this at night. Especially if you have nightmares cause this will give you nightmares. This series keeps getting better and better. I'm tempted to read the next book but I won't cause I love Gary Furlong's voice.

My favorite so far!

The Bridge of Silver Wings is the third book in Wiltshire’s More Heat Than the Sun series. These books follow the same couple and each book builds off some events from previous ones. While this is a complete story and could be enjoyed on it’s own, I’d definitely recommend starting with Love is a Stranger. It’s possible this review contains spoilers to earlier books.

This is my favorite of the series so far. I think because, while they still have a few misunderstandings, Nik & Ben’s relationship is fairly solidly established. So I got to enjoy them even more as a couple. They both have a LOT of baggage and their communication skills aren’t always the best – so there’s still some things to work through, but it doesn’t take over the story as it did in some of the past books. There is a MAJOR shift and I literally hollered out loud in delight. You’ll know when you get to it.

Again, Wiltshire gives us multiple stories in a single book. Survival takes on a new meaning and unseen dangers far beyond the tsunami in Conscious Decisions of the Heart. At the same time, Wiltshire’s humor shines through and I couldn’t help but laugh several times throughout the book.

I’m loving this series and can’t wait to continue.

Narration:
Gary Furlong. Still awesome. I cannot get over how seamless his narrations are. Wiltshire has a complicated text full of various accents, voices, and emotions. While the other books are all out in ebook form, I’ll be waiting for the next audiobook (which I think are scheduled for this Summer) because I cannot fathom experiencing Nik & Ben without Furlong’s performance.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Decent Fellows Press and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I'm totally in love.

I've relisten to this series so many times I can't count.
I started it again because the author is releasing two more books.
The one thing I always find when I listen to this series is the way the author ties in certain things that may not have happened yet, and when they do you think oh wow! OK!
This book has a lot going on, that tests Nik and Ben's relationships with each other and the friends they have made.

Once again, Gary has done an incredible job with the narration

Absolutely love this story!

The Narrator is brilliant 👏. The story was engaging and kept you guessing especially the 2nd half. I am happy the next 2 books are slated for release soon. I can't wait to start #4 in the series.

enjoyed it

John Wiltshire is an unknown author for me. I picked up this series because I was looking for another long series (more than 5 books) revolving around the same characters and something a little "gritty" - it was a bonus that it was narrated by Gary Furlong. My overall comments are reflective of the whole 9 books, because I feel the 9 books are well worth the investment and it's been a very long time since I finished a series and went straight back to the beginning to listen again. 👍👍

Each book has a good pace and builds on events from the previous book as time progresses through the 14 years Ben & Nickolas are together, I was taken on a roller coaster ride of the best parts of an action/adventure movie, ran the full gamut of emotions and while the character development was subtle, it was well written and builds a relationship with a solid foundation that can withstand any force thrown its way.

Despite certain elements of some of the books not being to my liking, I was completely emersed in the stories, entertained from beginning to end and will definitely look for more from this author in the future.

📖 Story comment: I enjoyed "The Bridge of Silver Wings" - although the plot felt a little over-the-top (seriously, how can two guys, not actively working in the "spy game", have so many mis-adventures) this book provides some major character development as both MC's are put through the wringer (again!) and the bond in the relationship becomes unbreakable.
Part 1: The Siberia part of the story, was extremely intense - and is probably my favourite so far.
Part 2: felt like a breather, the pace was much slower as Ben discovers more of his family despite more murder and intrigue.

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoyed Gary Furlong's narration, he suits the characters, has good cadence, inflections and intonations and it's easy to distinguish the characters from each other. Overall an enjoyable performance and he bought the characters of the book to life

-------
Note to self: there is alot of rough s*x in this series ... the lack of lube drove me nuts ... 9 books and only one instance of "gun oil" to ease the way?
