There may be nothing to “fix” with breech-positioned babies, and in fact, it may be that the breech can mentor us, as it is through the breech that we can learn about all babies and how we came to be where we are right now as a birthworker community.

Phenomenal book, must-read for all birth workers

I haven’t been this impressed with a book in a while. The authors approach something so heavy and medicalized through an embodied and mythic lens. They are incredibly educated, skilled, and wise and we would all be better to humbly listen to what these women have to say. Thank you for the work you’re doing 🤍 p.s. in response to another review about not having a pdf- there is one, you just have to find it on the web version or on your computer. Can’t figure out how to get it via app but it’s an Audible issue, not the authors.

I wish there was an accompanying PDF

This book is great, but the author often refers to images and diagrams and there is no accompanying PDF for an audible reader to reference, so you’re left imagining and guessing.

Harmful language

So called "inclusive" language is harmful to women, babies and society as a whole. Please, reevaluate your use of such. I cannot give any book a star, let alone 5 star review when the author(s) have capitulated to such harmful ideology. Women and babies mortality and morbidity will skyrocket due to this language making its way through law, medicine, science and statistics. The explanation of this nonsense is a waste of time and space, not to mention misogynistic, racist and ageist. Do better.
