Publisher's Summary

When one of the four elite students of Gifted Fae Academy is murdered, it leaves the entirety of the student body feeling defeated...especially me.

A shocking declaration shatters the fragile peace the school has barely managed to maintain and brings the criminal organization dedicated to murdering Fae to the forefront of society. Their leader is identified - a traitor we believed to be one of our own.

With the only home I have left threatening to close its doors, I must prove where my loyalties lie. There is no such thing as trust within the walls of the legendary academy any longer. It's now student versus student. We're all hurt...all broken. The thirst for revenge is palpable, and there is no one who craves justice more than I do. But, no one is as conflicted as I am, either. Nothing is as it seems. The lies are too simple and the truth is far too complex. The more pieces of the puzzle that I uncover, the closer I get to the boy who broke us - who broke me.

Will I have what it takes to stop him before his plans come to fruition? Or will my hesitation cost me my life?

If you love hearing about childhood friends, enemies-to-lovers, royal and celebrity classmates, and everything Fae, then one-click today and fall into this magical new series that's Gossip Girl meets My Hero Academia! This Upper YA/NA series is intended for mature audiences. It contains cursing, sexual situations, bullying, and violence.

Reina and Kaito have a strange bond but the story is very captivating!

Narrators both did an amazing job. On top of having a female narrator for Reina and a male one for Kaito, the chapters begin with their names so audiobook or not, following along is easy enough!

Can’t decide if Reina and Kaito’s connection is healthy or not but boy, this book was captivating. I have to admit that I had some doubts here and their about their strange connection, whether or not it feels natural or just plein stupid but all in all, it suited the story very well and their special bond is a beauty in itself.

This book really throws all typical good vs. wrong things through the window the more the story develops. Nothing is clear cut and everything seems to depend on the way you look at things.

As we learn more about the Fallen (the rebel organization that attacked the school at the end of book 1 and killed one of the beloved elites both Reina and Kaito hang out with) and their reasons behind their actions, as well as the good things the organization does, the lines of good and evil become more blurred.
And as the story develops, we learn more about the Fae (which in Brittni’s world, are really uniquely skilled and trained people instead of an entire other race, love her take on ‘Fae’). And as we learn more and more, it is apparent that nothing is as black and white as it all started out at the beginning of book 1.

Such a captivating story! Can’t wait for book 3!

O_O!!! So...that just happened.

My poor, poor heart could not relax.
I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish.
There was just so much happening!

Everybody had to face their own demons and the truth.
There was no clear-cut good or evil.
The institutional system sucks.

One thing was always constant: the love between Reina & Kai was beautiful.

I appreciate Bri's unwavering loyalty. Now they definitely need to find her!
Thank you Brittni Chenelle for writing this series and for providing my review copy.😘
I especially enjoyed Miss Lamb's voice work. Her male counterpart was cool too.

Wow! Second Book Of The Trilogy

This second book picked up where the first book, "The Fae & The Fallen" ended and it does not disappoint. I'm really looking forward to the last book of the trilogy; however, there is also a part of me that is sad that Reina's and Keito's story will be ending. I am continuing to enjoy the alternating recitation being given by the two narrators and I think it helped to give voices to the characters. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

It was perfect!

From the first book I fell in love with the story! Plot twists that leave you speechless, romance, action, magic! This book has it all! It picks up right where it left in the first book and explains some things! I love Raina and how we can see her emotions and how much she has grown! The double narration is ideal as we can see both perspectives of Raina and Kaito! I can't wait for the next one!!!

Excellent

I received this book free for an honest review.

After the horror of the ball Reina is in shock that Kaito was involved with the group dedicated to killing Fae.
The students are after revenge as one of their own was killed but Reina is conflicted and feels things are not as they seem with Kaito.
Excellent sequel the characters have grown so much and there are so many twists and turns it keeps your attention throughout.

Perfect book 2

I can’t say enough how much I love this series. It’s such an easy and fun read with so much happening. Just when you think everything is going to be fine, something crazy happens. Brittni does it again with Book 2. I love our main characters so much I never want the series to end! I breezed through this in just one day! It did end in a cliffhanger so I’m now impatiently waiting for book 3!

Love this so much

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review.

Omg that cliffhanger!! It’s totally evil the book is so full of twists and turns and suspense. I loved the first book but this book is a whole new level. The depth of struggle for the characters feelings they have evolved so much it’s a really interesting and not just for Reina and Kaito but all the characters surrounding them. The lines between good and bad seem to blur which shows a truth to real life which is so refreshing to see in a young adult book as a lot of times you don’t see that grey area like is shown here.

Such a fast paced book where the pressure mounts and you need to keep going I really am looking forward to where book 3 takes us.

Absolutely brilliant!

Well I have to say I loved the first book The Fae and the Fallen and this one was exceptionally brilliant too. The story of Reina carries on from the first book the aftermath of the tragic ball where one of their friends is killed and kaito leaves with the members of the Fallen who caused the glass demons to crash the ball killing one of the Fae.
Reina is angry at Kaito but deep down doesn't believe he is bad. But Kaito feels like he's part of something for the first time in his life. But DT the leader of the Fallen has a scary gift that shocks Kaito.
This story follows both of them as they try to make sense of what is happening in their own lives and how they really feel. I cant say more without spoilers but trust me this book is brilliant and you need to listen to it.
The narration is spot on and you believe Lessa is Reina and Matthew once again becomes Kaito. They both do the other voices perfectly too. I begged the author Brittni Chenelle for an author copy to review as soon as it came out because I loved the first book so much. This one is equally spellbinding and has you gribbed the whole way through. Now I must beg for book 3 and hope I don't have to wait too long. The opinions expressed are my own but trust me you need to listen to this book.
