Publisher's Summary

The Messiah of the Old Testament was no Prince of Peace. He was expected to come with sword and fire and raze the old kingdoms to the ground. There were four signs by which he would be known.

Jesus of Nazareth fulfilled only one of the signs. That was more than a dozen other would-be Messiahs could boast. Until A.D. 2047, when a grifter named Jeremiah the B fulfills them all and puts the world in more jeopardy than it’s been in since the comet hit, 65 million years ago!

Somethg New and Entertaining

I must admit, I have not read a lot of Resnick, but I will read more. This story is a classic style exploration of an old concept told cleverly and against the backdrop of a world we can recognize as evolving from our own but taken to a future still recognizable. The premise, that of the Messiah, is presented new and fresh in ways that will entertain you and yet drive thoughts. I can fully recommend it. The narration is good as well. The narrator is able to bring the characters sufficient individuality that you can follow well along in the story. Overall a good job.
