Excellent Info

This should be a must-read for all. Great information about brain, and body health and provides excellent reasons to and strategies for adopting a lifestyle, not a quick-fix “magic” (but in the end, empty) program. If people would absorb even half of what Dr Amen advocates for, and change their behaviors (even some of them - baby steps!), our nation would not be facing the obesity, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s crisis it is in today.

Glad I discovered this book!

I discovered Dr. Amen years ago and listened to some of his books on CD from the city library. I only recently discovered he also has a podcast which led me to this book. I’ve been changing the way I think and eat which has affected my children’s lifestyle. We now refer to fast food as “fats food” and I continue to be a shepherding watch dog while raising my kids alone. I can’t wait to see our brain scans after all the changes we’re making.

Brain Warrior

Sometimes the listing of foods was a little boring so it lost me , but overall what a wise, eyeopening and very informative read! I will keep this on my device and listen multiple times!!!!! Fantastic information! And be sure to visit the website,! Very useful

If you love yourself, read this book.

If you love yourself, read this book. If there are other people in your life that you love, consider sharing this book with them. Even if you aren't ready to commit to all of the decisions yet, this book explains the why and how of health in a way that relates not only to your body, but also your brain, and gives you the information to at least make informed decisions. It is well-written, well-researched, and performed well by the authors. Halfway through Part 3, I bought hard copies for myself and each of my parents. I will become so much stronger because of this book.

This book changed my commitment to eat healthy

Eating healthy requires will power and commitment. Dr. Amen has inspired me to make that commitment. I can walk past free doughnuts or even cheese cake. I've lost 30 pounds in 6 months and that was not my reason for making the changes. If you eat for brain health, you will see improvement in all areas of your health. Best of all, you don't have to give up good food to do it. All you have to do is give up the taste good foods that are bad for you. You also don't have to eat less, all you have to do is choose to eat foods that nourish your body.

Great advice in this book & entertaining!

I loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. The authors share many stories and things we can do for our brain health. I like their approach and especially that they recommend supplements (which I’ve taken for years). RX is ok but look at other options, too. EVERYONE who wants to make any change or improvement in their life should read or listen to this. You or someone you love could change your life in a really positive way.
