My husband, Master vampire Clive, has been asked to go to Budapest to interview for a position in the Guild, a council of thirteen vampires who advise the world's Masters. The competition for the recently vacated spot is fierce. I worry about Clive, as it quickly becomes apparent that the last person to hold the position didn't leave voluntarily.

Ever the supportive wife, I'm tagging along. I researched Budapest and had a long itinerary of things to do. That is, I did. When we arrive, we find out that the Guild headquarters is in the ruins of an abandoned insane asylum. Awesome. If there's one thing I love, it's being hounded by mentally unstable Hungarian ghosts.

Let's just say this isn't the romantic getaway I'd been hoping for. With Clive in top secret meetings and a bunch of creepy Renfields skulking around corners, nowhere is safe. I want to help Clive because I know he really wants the job, but the other Guild members are ancient and scary powerful. Between you and me, I thought Vlad would be taller.

This series is an auto-buy for me

Great characters! Fabulous dialogue set within a time I’ve always wanted to visit. Sam and Clive feel like friends and listening to the next installment feels like catching up on old friends exploring new challenges.

Gripping from start to finish!

This is an awesome series. Sam is a feisty, kind and smart heroine, totally badassed!! Clive is dreamy, I love him too! The performance is extremely good, Samantha Daez rules. Thank you Seana Kelly for gifting the world with this immersive fantasy, I look forward to the next installment 😍

Twists and turns in genre that is usually predictable. One of the Best Authors I have had the pleasure to read. 6 stars

I'm Really hoping this was Not the last in this series. You have a gift of surprise in your stories.

The storyline is inviting and captivating. It draws you in and rugs at your imagination and places you in a fascinating world that you wish for.

As a native Hungarian this book was really interesting for me. I really liked it.

excellent writing and fantastic narration

I adore the universe that Seanna has created with her characters, that bridge between fantasy and modern day reality. it's incredibly easy to get lost in the story and find yourself picturing it as it plays or, and rooting for or cursing the players.

add Samantha's narration and it's even better. She has a truly unique ability to make each respective character sound different and evoke an emotional response. it's like listening to multiple people reading parts, but it's all her. her eye for accents is pretty apt as well, and just adds to the atmosphere, it really helps immerse you.

I've already preordered the next Arwen and Sam books and I can't wait for the Audible copies to drop at well.

This series is fantastic! I didn't like all the topics, but overall the story was gripping. I am so excited that there will be another book

A must Read!

Since Book 1, I has hooked on this series. Book 7 takes you on a wild adventure far away from home base. An excellent plot, with the characters we love and the narration was performed to perfection.
The only thing I need is book 8 ASAP, to see what happens after the turmoil in Budapest.

I absolutely love this whole series! This new installment didn’t disappoint. Filled with action, touching moments/hope, love, and acceptance. This series contains so many fantastic characters pulled from many fantasy’s and mythology. Truly entertaining. Happy reading!
