Publisher's summary

Brother witches Josh and Chris have sacrificed a great deal for their magical responsibilities. Their aunt, Kathy, is the only family they have left, and together they must face their enemies to keep them from targeting any more victims. But when Kathy is put in the hospital after an attack, the boys are a witch short.

With the brothers at their weakest, they uncover a growing new power trying to organize the demonic hierarchy. Josh and Chris are left alone to battle an evil stronger than anything they've ever faced...an evil so strong it might cost them their lives.

Teenage Angst in a World of Witchcraft

Set in the rust belt of Erie, Pennsylvania, the tale follows brothers Chris and Josh through constant action as they learn about growing up the witch world. It was an exciting listen that constantly kept me intrigued.

I found listening to the book at 1.25 speed to be a more desirable listening speed, to intensify the action sequences that Chris and Josh found themselves in.

witches, wizards, and demons

wow there's a lot going on in this book! just when you think it's done something new pops up. it reminds me of the show charmed but with brothers. lots of action and drama with plenty of surprises thrown in keep you from ever getting bored. somehow I don't think the trouble is over for this family!

For young teens?

Would you try another book from David Neth and/or Nathan Weiland?

I liked the narrator well enough but the story, at least in this book is aimed at a much younger audience I think - I did listen to the end ( I was gifted the book for an honest review) and although the story didn't flow so well and the character development could have done with more invested in it, I still found myself curious to know what would happen.

What could David Neth have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

As mentioned, deeper character development and more descriptive scenes. The logic of why some things were done/not done was a bit off, so exploring some scenes more would've helped I think and leaving some repeat incidences out - I agree with another reviewer who said this - for such an experienced witch family, they came across as novice or not so bright

What does Nathan Weiland bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I love audiobooks, for me hearing the story read brings it to life in a way reading doesn't. I do also love reading because it does the same thing - allows me to bring it to life with just my imagination. But he's a pretty good narrator, so he helped with this book overall.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

hmm - only if it went through a rewrite to deal with the plot and story to really bring it to life - the concept of the two teen boy witches has promise

Uniting Against a Common Enemy

The Blood Moon combines book one and two when Holly and Drew join Kathy, Chris, and Josh in the fight of their lives. This book still has some aspects of the tv show "Charmed" but it is much more creative when it comes to the writing. The book contains much more magic, romance and action. I definitely recommend this book to magic lovers. Nathan Weiland's narration is definitely one of the highlights of the book. I received this book for free and this is my honest unbiased review.

REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE!!!!

** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

The boys and Aunt Kathy go to battle with a few new friends, and kick some major butt! If you liked Charmed, you will enjoy this series, I really liked this book a lot, since I had already gotten to know these characters in book 1...They had to really battle some big baddies here, and almost died several times...Will, Kathy's ex husband comes into some very dangerous powers, and Toxanna...is as evil as ever! Loved it! Good narration and great story, I recommend!!!

Family Drama + Magic = Great Story

If you like witches, demons and spells, you'll enjoy this fast paced tale. The adventures of these teen age witches kept my interest all the way through.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review

Power awaken

It's a great story and the Author is an amazing story teller.
(He was kind enough to gift me this audio book)

We continue the journey set in a magical universe.
(Taking notes, I'm learning some skills)

The characters are well developed, we can connect to them instantly.
Everyone has a task and their bond grows stronger in every chapter.

Be prepared to take some deep breaths.

Will is my favourite character... Today :)

I don't want to write any spoilers,
but it's a bit hard not to.

I can see this story like a movie, as my imagination grows with the characters.
Very well written, paced. I enjoy it.

The narration is awesome, helped me to look into the book with more detail.

I recommend this series to anyone.

Where's the next book, David?

Great Story!

I really enjoyed this new story of witches by David Beth. Its action packed, magic, demons, along with twists and turns throughout the entire story. I liked the majority of the characters, well the "good" ones and not the "evil" characters. This story was unique and for this author's first story he did a fantastic job.

The narrator, Nathan Weiland did a descent job. I thought he did a great job with distinguishing the male voices but he could use some work when it comes to female voices. I won't lie, his voice flowed and he kept the story paced well. I do think he could use some more practice with narrating in general. I'm sorry if I'm tough but I just try to be honest. Overall, I still give it a 5 star rating!

A good listen

So this was a fluid listen. The narrator did a great job while the story line was slightly lacking. It was a well written story but it was just missing a little something. Overall I give this a 4 as I would possibly like to read the 2nd book in the series.
