A beautiful honest book about a soft heart.

I’m so sad this book ended and I wish I could dive deeper into each persons story. Nancy does a great job of taking you through her most crucial life moments in an open and honest way, you really feel for her. Overall, this book is about love and how we show it and how it can be endless even when it probably shouldn’t be.

Riveting narrative

Would you listen to The Blind Optometrist again? Why?

The fact that the author was the reader (she’s really good) kept my attention wondering how much of it she had lived. Having other readers doing the male parts sometimes distracted from the emotional saga. The over-prescribing message was subtle but persistent.

What did you like best about this story?

How the recurring pattern of dysfunction in her main relationship thwarted her attempts to achieve breakout independent success.

What about Nancy Glassman’s performance did you like?

Her accent and delivery matched the character perfectly.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. It had too many complex relationships to digest at once.
