The Black Crescent

The draft caught everyone by surprise.

After an explosion that rocks the desert megacity where they live, both Delkan and Ziara are tasked with the protection of their home from the Varul, a virus which can hijack control of the mind.

The only problem? Ziara was infected during the first intrusion. Rather than turn herself in to the Quarantine from which no one returns, Ziara searches for a cure and tries to keep the Varul under control. But now she’s blacking out, unable to stop herself from spreading the disease further.

Unaware of the internal threat, Delkan and his squadron work to exterminate the Varul, hoping to win the honor of wearing the Black Crescent.

Want the next book!

The title sums of the review - the fact that I want to read the next book is what matters. There were some digital issues with the audio recording, but the story was intriguing and kept me wondering what was going to happen. It’s my own fault that it took me 1/4 of the book to realize that “I” (first person perspective) was switching between two characters. 😄
