Publisher's Summary

She's been sent into the lair of the beast....

An exclusive interview with billionaire author Jack Bestia should be a dream assignment for Bonnie. He's her favorite author of all time, and it could make her career. But he has a reputation for being temperamental and reclusive--and the last time they met...well, let's just say things did not go well.

Superstar author Jack Bestia has zero interest in doing an interview. He does have:

  • A huge deadline looming
  • A strong preference for privacy
  • Some pretty nasty scars from his last relationship
  • And a big, BIG secret.

He definitely doesn’t want a snooping reporter anywhere near his seaside Newport, Rhode Island mansion. Unfortunately, his publisher isn’t interested in his preferences, his schedule, or his excuses. The seventh and final book in his bestselling fantasy series is two years overdue, and Jack’s on thin ice, at risk of getting cut from the publishing house altogether. He has no choice but to welcome Bonnie into his private world.

But he doesn’t have to make it easy for her.

He’ll act every bit as beastly as the tabloids have claimed he does, and she won’t want to spend a minute longer in his presence than absolutely necessary. That plan - and an iron-clad non-disclosure agreement - will ensure that no one finds out the awful truth.

When Bonnie’s curiosity gets the better of her and she sees the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong place...Jack takes drastic measures, forcing her to stay in his secluded seaside castle until his new book comes out, a virtual prisoner. It’s the only way to protect his secret.

Unfortunately, he failed to anticipate the effect this clever and determined beauty might have on his household...and his heart.

The Billionaire's Black Book is a full-length sweet clean billionaire romance fairytale retelling of Beauty and the Beast. It’s a stand-alone enemies-to-lovers/forced proximity slow burn romance. Look for the rest of the books in the interconnected series!

Excellent book!

I truly enjoyed listening to this book. Laney Scott does a fantastic job narrating & bringing the characters to life. This is a great read with well developed characters and good pacing. The author didn’t rush telling the tale. I can’t wait to listen/read Hunter’s story & the remaining books in the series.

I enjoyed this retelling of a classic fairytale!!!

I loved it!!!

I enjoy most fairytales, and I recently discovered that some authors are quite good at writing fairytale retellings of some of my favourite stories. Amy DeLuca is now one of them.
Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite stories, and she nailed it in this more modern setting, without even needing any magic. Unless of course you think that love is magical.

I'm excited for the rest of the series. Since it includes some of my other favourites; like Cinderella.

Love, love, love this audiobook!!

I love fairy tale retelling books and this one is a new favorite of mine! Amy DeLuca is becoming one of my new favorite authors. With witty and realistic dialogue between the characters, the storyline held my attention from the first until the very end. This audiobook is so good! The narrator is incredibly talented and brought this fun romantic twist of a fairy-tale classic to life. I will definitely listen to this again!

A great reimagination of Beauty and the Beast!

Jack is a Billionaire author who is known to be a beast of a person. Bonny is a book reporter, a beauty and fan of Jack's books. The two come together when Jack needs to finish his final book of a series that made his fortune, but he has a secret and if Bonny finds out, it could ruin him for good.

What a great introduction to Amy DeLuca! I am not a Billionaire romance lover but was intrigued by the premise of the book so I tried it. It was a good risk! Amy does a great job with making an old story fresh and new and the pace and characters were deeper than your average romance and the humor actually had me laughing at times. This will not be my last book by Amy!

Laney Scoot was a great choice in a narrator! He brought the characters to life and her intonations and pace made it fell like it was a performance rather than just an audible book. Great job!

I was given this review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great Series

This is a fun series retelling fairy tales in a modern setting. Billionaire's Black Book is a retelling if Beauty and the Breast. The narrator does a good job of differentiating the different character's voices.

You’ll love this modern Beast and beautiful Belle -giggles for no extra charge.

Jack is definitely beastly and Bonnie is as beautiful as Belle. Jack is a best selling author with a gigantic writers block after his former girlfriend ripped off the plot of the blockbuster ending to his series and sold it to the magazine. He also developed serious trust issues. Bonnie is assigned the coveted task of interviewing Jack who never does interviews, Especially as the deadline is looming with not a plot line in sight. For some reason Bonnie soothes the beast and he is starting to write. Of course trouble steps in. There are fun side references to other characters such as mrs Potts and coworker Gaston. This is a fun lighthearted modern retelling of the fairy tale.

a wonderful sweet fairytale romance

A delightful wonderful well written sweet romance.  This interesting engaging storyline kept me addicted page after page. They had secrets and painful pasts and hurts, with secrets, mistakes that they owned and overcame in this beautiful beauty and the beast fairytale tale story. A incredible romance with well developed characters with a slow build love to a great ending. It was perfectly narrated while bringing me into the story page after page.

Sweet Romance

I received this book as a gift from the author and want to leave review in exchange, but I'm having a hard time finding a way to describe my feelings without revealing spoilers. I really enjoyed the majority of the story and loved the ending, but felt a little let down at times. I liked Bonnie, more so than Jack, but I tried to be understanding given his past experience. Overall this book reminds me of the second-hand paperbacks that were all I could afford when I first discovered the Romance Genre. I loved my Harlequins and Love Swepts and their presentations of a somewhat naive, fantasy version of love and life.

Laney Scott did a great job as narrator. This was my first time listening to her work and I would not hesitate to purchase other books she performed. She definitely added to the listening experience.

A BEAUTY AND THE BEAST NEGOTIATION

A WONDERFUL BEAUTY AND THE BEAST TALE WITH A VERY UNEXPECTED TWIST, AN AUTHOR WHO FINDS HIMSELF WITH WRITERS BLOCK, AND NO IDEA HOW TO MEET HIS DEADLINE THAT IS UP AND COMING, A BEAUTY. WHO IS THE AUTHOR'S FAN. AD HAS FOLLOWED HIS LIFE FOR YEARS, BUT FATE WILL ENTWINE THEIR LIVES AGAIN IN A MOST UNEXPECTED WAY.. LANEY SCOTT HAS A WONDERFUL VOICE THAT BROUGHT THE STORY TO LIFE! THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AUDIBLE BOOKS OF BEAUTY ABD THE BEAST PUT TO AUDIO. I REALLY LOVED IT AND THE FACT THAT IT WAS CLEAN IS A MAJOR BONUS.

Beautifully written and skillfully performed

From the very first chapter, I knew I was in for a treat. This author has a marvellous way with words, and the narrator did a fantastic job taking a wonderful book and elevating it even further. Although I struggled with Jack, who was often a complete jerk, I liked Bonnie immediately. She was funny, smart, and cute, and deserved a happy ending. The story was fresh and took some unexpected turns, and there were some sweet moments.

A good book

I really enjoyed the style of writing from this author, and the narration was brilliant. The only thing that I thought wasn’t brilliant was the way the beauty and beast storyline was incorporated. In many other fairytell retelling I’ve listened to or read, the general plot line is used. Withinin this story the author seemed to want to follow the storyline of beauty and the beast too much. If the story was retold without the feast, the housekeeper Mrs Potts or the writing in the tower etc, it would have been even better.

I just love a beauty and the beast retelling

I had read this book and fell instantly in love with the concept and characters but listening to it has just made one of my favourite books come to life. The narrator did an amazing job, I loved the voice she used for Mrs Potts, she should so grandmotherly and sweet.

You absolutely must grab this book you will not be disappointed.
