Publisher's summary

Lucas Anderson isn't used to anyone telling him what to do. He's the eldest child of the infamous Joseph Anderson and was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. When Dad decides it's time for him to get married, he'll do anything to not make it happen . . . that is until he meets Amy Harper and nearly burns down the building with the sparks that fly.

This is the first book in the New York Times best selling series by Melody Anne that took the world by storm and the beginning of the world-famous Anderson saga. Lucas Anderson is the CEO of the multi-billion dollar Anderson Corporation which employees thousands of people. Amy Harper is his new assistant. Lucas doesn't have an easy time handing over his trust and he can't believe this woman doesn't want anything from him. There's one thing he wants from her, but that leaves them both with something he can never turn his back on.

Take the journey with Lucas and Amy as they navigate whole new worlds for both of them and learn how to trust in this epic beginning to a family everyone wants to be a part of. This story starts with Patriarch Joseph Anderson deciding it's time for his children to be married and give him grandchildren . . . and that's exactly what he'll get.

"As the first book in the series, Melody Anne makes a great first impression with Wins the Game leaving readers craving for more. I am already recommending to friends, peers, and acquaintances. Wins the Game has received two thumbs up from me for sure. As a pondering point, I think it would make an interesting story line for a movie as well. Liked it

I thought this book might be a little silly or too fluffy with no depth, but it surprised me. The characters were appealing and had depth. Of course, it was fairy tale, but a good one. How often does a poor girl get a man's fathers approval of a match before they even meet?
I was in the mood for a light, entertaining book after reading murder mysteries and CIA undercover books and a few more serious books. If this is the first book in the series, I would like to read the others.

Some voices a distraction to the story

If you could sum up The Billionaire Wins the Game in three words, what would they be?

Cute Story

What did you like best about this story?

The heroine was strong.

Would you be willing to try another one of Lilly Swan’s performances?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Usually narrator's voices don't bother me, but the voice of Lucas was very distracting to me. He sounded like a stodgy old butler, not a man in love. Just my opinion, but when I notice the voice, it's not good.

Another terrific love story filled with a family that loves and cares for each other.

This a beautiful story , almost like a fairy tale. It is about people who have their own day to day struggles as a family and as individuals. They are all bound together by love of each other and finally the oldest brother takes a wife and gives into the intense feelings of love he has for her despite his fear of being hurt.
Anne Melody is an excellent storyteller an keeps you in suspense about the next hurdle the lovers must overcome their feelings about a complete commitment. Great reading..

Good but exspected

The book in general was a good listen if you want, a bit of romance, with a spinkle of alpha male, thrown in with a sad baggrund for the female lead. It is a bit of a cliche, but Nice listen when you just want that book that doesnt overwhelm you. It is the book you need to listen to when you think "i need a sappy cliche romance book". It really has all the cliche, trust me.

omg

What a lucky reader I am! I downloaded this book for free--delightful. Then found the rest of the series under my Kindle Unlimited plan. I will spend the weekend reading. Love this dynamic family. The sneaky father is a delight. He has the best interest and seems to be a great judge of character. Sr. Mr. Anderson wants grandchildren. He has three successful and hot sons who aren't getting the job done--so he puts his matchmaking skills to the test. He knows the buttons to push and is unafraid. The relationships are not without issues, however when you meet the right person you are lost or found depending on your outlook. Love dynamic, wealthy men who lose control when their woman comes along. Strong women who may fight the attraction, however, do not make it easy for their men is in store for the reader. In the first book, Dad hires the new CEO's (his eldest son) exec secretary. He is livid especially when he realized she is an unwanted distraction he can't seem to fight. She feels the same and they end of losing the battle (Of course this is a romance after all) Good characters, family value and growth even though he fights it all the way.

Could have been better

The story could have been good and a good series. But when the leading man is extremely unlikable and the leading woman sounds like an complete idiot, it was hard to finish listening. The other characters were likable, which made me finish the book. Not sure if will purchase the rest of the stories.
