  • Day 345: One in Christ (2025)
    Dec 11 2025
In Acts 24, Fr. Mike notes how Felix remained unmoved by Paul's teaching despite being compelled by it initially, showing us that unless we act on what we believe, there is no change. As we begin reading St.Paul's letter to the Galatians today, Fr. Mike highlights Paul's explanation of the role of Jewish law in the Age of the Church, clarifying that through baptism, we are all one in Christ and heirs to the promises of the Father regardless of our backgrounds. Dec 10 2025
Fr. Mike recaps Paul's trial before the chief priests and the plot to kill him in Acts 23. As we conclude 2 Corinthians today, Fr. Mike invites us to reflect on our own thorn that God doesn't seem to take away, and to remember that God's grace is sufficient for us. How many times have I started reading Genesis in January and given up on Leviticus in March? Lots of times. This podcast is the way to “read” the Bible. Listen to Father Mike read in an order that makes sense and presents the Bible as a storyline rather than separate disjointed chapters. Plus, Father Mike explains the confusing parts. I look forward to my 20 minutes a day with Father Mike and the Bible. And, this time, I will make it through the Bible in a year. Not just make it through to make it through. Instead, I will learn about my faith a little more every day. Brilliant idea. Fantastic podcast. Thank you, Father Mike!

I am a member of a small Christian denomination that is neither Catholic nor Protestant. We believe that the Word of God is most holy. We are taught to read and meditate on a chapter or two each day, with the purpose of applying the truths and goods we learn there to our everyday lives.
So I am excited to be able to join Father Mike and other listeners as we journey through the expanse of Divine Scripture. Sometimes the Bible is hard for me to comprehend, but often, it helps when I keep on reading, and praying, for God's light and warmth. The Lord's Word is like a rough wooden box, which when opened, contains so many precious stones. Thank you, Father Mike, for encouraging us to keep the Word's lid open so that God's Light and Love can shine out for all.

Committing to the task of reading through the Bible in a year can be daunting. Having a guide, and better yet a Podcast, takes the fear of failing away. I can go at my own pace and finish when I finish. Fr. Mike's narration and reflections are excellent and eye-opening. Thank you.

I've always wanted to do this
