🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Fantastic, this book will melt your e-readers or your headphones (if you prefer audio) I listened to the audio and O.M.G the slow burn at the start was great. But when Ryan and Kendall ignited holy hotness. This book was fire! Another round of applause for Kennedy Fox.

Wonderful!

I listened to the audio version of this book. Loved, loved, loved this novel! The writing style is fantastic and the stranded together trope along with the best friend's brother and the opposites attract trope are some of my favorites. The Covid theme is very timely.
The narrations by Tor Thom and Emma Wilder were incredible. I could listen to them forever!
I was given a complimentary copy of this audiobook. All thoughts are my own.

Oh sweet baby Jesus, I need my own Ryan!!!

I cannot say how much I loved hearing this story. Tor and Emma are back as Ryan and Kendall and they did an exquisite job. There are just certain phrases Tor says that are music to my ears.

We are first introduced to Ryan and Kendall in The Two of Us and at the end of that book we find out they ended up stranded at the cabin. Kendall is Cami's best friend and Ryan is Cami's brother and Eli's best friend. It isn't that Kendall and Ryan 100% despise each other, they just don't know who the other person truly is. While stranded at the cabin they find out each other is pretty much nothing like they thought and they give into their desires...and boy are these two STEAMY!!!!!

Once they are able to return to civilization they both fall back into their regular lifestyles and while they each want to contact the other neither one of them does. Kendall overhears Ryan make a flippant comment about her at Eli and Cami's wedding and it is that incident that makes Ryan wake up and realize he loves Kendall and doesn't want to lose her. She is the perfect fit for him.

Naturally it wouldn't be a Kennedy Fox book if there wasn't an ending that leaves us wanting the next story ASAP but alas we have to wait.

Great story and narration

Everything KennedyFox writes is amazing. I love the dynamic in this story and how the story goes on from the first book in this series. I wouldn’t recommend reading out of order because you always meet key people when you follow along in order. I love the relationship build up and it’s always nice to get another hot Dr character if you haven’t read Evan bishops story definitely look that one up as thank me later 😍 can’t wait for the next book in this series it sounds like it’s going to be great already!

An Enjoyable Story

Ryan and Kendall knew each other since they were young. Kendall is Ryan's sisters best friend.

So when Ryan's sister decided to spend her honeymoon in a secluded cabin he and Kendall go to check things out stock it up and make sure everything is in working order. But unfortunately it's snowing so bad that they get stuck at the cabin

You can just imagine what happens when two people are stuck in a place with nowhere to go. So they get to know each other and thing just seem to get more intense from there, especially when one of them has been crushing on the other for a while now.

This was a different type of story. Played during the pandemic and Ryan is a doctor as well so was a bit weird. I thought it would be off putting but it was actually a sweet light hearted story to read. And I am a fan of Tor Thom and Emma Wilder💖 so I loved the narration kept me hooked on the romance. And I am a definite fan of this duo's writing😊💖

Fabulous

What a fabulous pair of narrators to being one of my favorite stories to life. Tor Thom and Emma Wilder truly had the most perfect voices for these characters. The dark broody voice which you can hear when the emotions start coming out and the sweet innocent privileged woman is mischaracterized by her upbringing.

Can I have more?

Oh my stars, I thought the first book in this series was amazing, but I am SOOO in love with Ryan and Kendall. Thom and Wilder give them so much life that I fell in love with this story all over again! I think that this story was exactly what I needed at this time because it warmed my heart, made me smile and so much more. It was a perfect layout for enemies to lovers that is also the best friend's brother. I loved the push and pull these two had and there were some really funny moments on top of swoon worthy ones.
It felt real and believable with this story on top of dealing with the aftermath of the pandemic. I felt that Fox did this story with a brilliant and realistic mindset on how the world is going right now and I felt the hope that was also woven into the words. If you are a fan of this duo, you will enjoy this story and all the feels that it evokes! Giving that it has narration now and how well these two narrators give Ryan and Kendall life, it was perfection!

Ryan and Kendall are everything!

Ryan and Kendall are so hot together! At first things are tense because assumptions were made about each other. Then when the truth comes out all bets are off. Being stranded during a storm with not much to do leads to so much more than they ever imagined. It's absolute fire from beginning to end.

They have intense chemistry. I love the give and take between them, the funny banter, and panty melting scenes. I'm panting just thinking about it. My heart was clenching, hoping that they could overcome what stood in there way.

The narrators are perfection, I could just listen to them all day and still not get enough. They brought this story and these characters to life and I couldn't help but fall in love over and over again. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series, its going to be so freaking good! Kennedy Fox never disappoints!

Ryan & Kendall

This book was everything and more.
Ryan and Kendall have been frenemies for a long time but when they find themselves snowed in the chemistry between them comes out in abundance. The audiobook had so many smexy times and they were soo hot… I’ll never tire of hearing Tor’s racy f word. It’s that good.

Looking forward to Piper’s story.

❤️❤️❤️

I mean who wouldn’t want to be snowed in with a hot doctor? Kendall and Ryan have all this pent up tension filled energy that me as a reader kept screaming “just bang it out already” and then comes the steam 🔥🔥🔥 So. Much. Steam. And a little unexpected to, didn’t think the Doc had it in him 😂 Having a slight insight to life after the pandemic from a doctors point of view was a little eye opening. Like i know this is a story, but the feelings etc Ryan has would very well be real to doctors in the real world that worked on the front line. If you loved Cami and Eli’s story, then you will love The Best of Us. It’s everything Kennedy Fox and keeps you hooked the entire time. These guys are my narrators, they bring Kendall and Ryan to life so well!!

My Thoughts on The Best of Us

I may be mistaken but I feel like this story was even more steamy and intense then the previous Isolation book. Maybe because it was a little more in the future and didn't focus as much on the time during the pandemic pre-vaccine. But I do like that this story took a moment to focus on what could be a reality for most of us. Our mental and emotional state even when things start to get better.

I enjoyed the history the two main characters had. How they had a common background but that it effected them differently in some ways but still pushed them both to help others.

I also loved how this story and these characters were brought to life by Tor Thom and Emma Wilder. I had absolutely no complaints about their performance and look forward to more from them in future.

Ryan and Kendall!

Ryan is a doctor who has faced the health crisis that we are all dealing with head on but it has changed him. No matter how many hours he works or what lives he saves it is never enough and all he wants is a little rest and relaxation. Finding himself stuck in a cabin with his sister’s best friend who he believes is an entitled princess was not part of his plan.

Kendall has always been attracted to Ryan but whenever they are together the sparks of animosity fly. He may see her, but he has never taken the time to know her and now that they find themselves together with no way out the outcome might just surprise both of them.

There is so much more to both Ryan and Kendall than first appears and seeing them truly discover who the other is fun to watch. Their connection to other goes far beyond the physical as they finally acknowledge what their hearts have wanted all along. I thought that the narrators did a great job of bringing out both the witty banter and the angst of the story.

4.5 Stars

It feels like every KF book I read gets better and better and this seems to continue that trend. The last Love in Isolation book featured the sister and best friend of the couple in this one, so even though technically this can be read as a standalone, it would give you much greater context if you read that one before this. This was a pretty steamy one. Mix in the banter and the smexy tension between Kendall and Ryan and you have this scorching little number. I loved how they used their isolation to get to know each other better in every single way and it was a really great read. Forced proximity is always a trope that'll hook me in so this series has me on the hook until it's over. I volunteered to read and review an early copy of this and all opinions are my own.

For a lighter romance this is a great listen.

The Best of Us gives us Kendall and Ryan's story. We know from the end of The Two of Us that they are snowed in at the cabin after they went the to get everything set up from Cami and Eli's honeymoon. These two characters have great chemistry and their story can be read as a standalone but it was nice having that previous knowledge of them from the last book. I already loved both Kendall and Ryan and couldn't wait to see how they were going to get on stuck in the cabin together and it did not disappoint.

The Hero and heroine go from getting on each others nerves, to getting to know each other, to having serious chemistry while snowed in. When they loose power was when the story really cam to life, making the best of their food rations, booze and cold winters nights it was easy to get lost in the romance between Kendall and Ryan. When the roads are cleared, what happens then?

Back in the city and back to their lives Kendall and Ryan's story takes on a new layer and you see another side to these two. A distance, yet their connection is still so clear. When Ryan says something he shouldn't have in a moment of stupidity it all comes crashing down. Kennedy Fox never fail to suck me into their stories and this one is no different. The Best of Us in on the lighter side and not as angsty as other books in their back catalogue but just as enjoyable. Seeing how Ryan and Kendall figure out their feelings outside of the cabin, despite the mistakes each make, they are just a likeable couple you want to root for.

With the final few chapters leading into the next book too I am excited to see how Piper and her hot bodyguard Tristan cope whilst hiding out until the police catch her psycho stalker. I listened to the best of us in audiobook format narrated by Tor Thom and Emma Wilder. Emma is one of my favourite female narrators and her male vocal is so good! Tor and Emma together worked really well and their performance kept me engaged throughout and they absolutely did the story justice.

Wonderful Story & Narration🎧A Captivating🔥Delight!

Kennedy Fox delivers another wonderful novel in their awesome “Love in Isolation” series. This book can be enjoyed on it’s own but I do recommend reading and/or listening to the first book “The Two of Us”, it an awesome story too. This book is Kendall and Ryan’s story and it is a brothers best friend romance with a side of opposites attract. Kendall is Cami’s best friend and Ryan is Cami’s brother, Cami is the lead character in “The Two of Us” she met her husband to be while quarantining up in the cabin. Kendall and Ryan go up to that same cabin to help decorate it for the honeymooners, but they wind up getting snowed in and stuck to spend time together. Both Ryan and Kendall come from affluent families, Ryan is a doctor and this is the first time he has taken any time off since the pandemic started. While they know each other a long time Ryan does not have such a great opinion of what Kendall does with her life, he thinks she just lives off her family’s wealth and is a social butterfly. But he soon realizes he thought wrong, that there was much more to Kendall than he gave her credit for. I loved their story, it is beautifully plotted and includes, some drama, heartfelt and emotional moments, some great humor and hot romance. It was nice to see Cami and Eli again, I am looking forward to what comes next in this fabulous series. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another awesome story.

🎧📚🎧 And for the narration, Tor Thom and Emma Wilder are fabulously talented narrators and voice artists. They continue to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Their portrayal of the characters is spot on, Emma played Kendall’s role with perfection and Tor Thom did the same for Ryan. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen.

Wow

Loved this story. Her best friends brother whom she has known and had a crush on for years. He thought she was a spoilt princess. But a snowed in trip gets them to open up and see beneath the surface to who they really are.
Narrating was awesome.
