Publisher's summary

I am many things. billionaire, rogue, rebel. But I never figured myself for a thief.

My money can buy power, control, access. Even oaths of loyalty.

The one thing it can't buy is her...or her safety.

I vowed to protect her...I failed...

I can't, under any circumstances, fail again. In order to save her, I'll have to give up the one thing that I value most - control.

The Canary Jewel is the key.

Tonight I am no longer a billionaire. Tonight I keep new secrets.

My name is Ben Covington and tonight, I am a thief.

Note: this isn't the end of the story. It takes time to become a master thief. Join me and the London Lords in the epic conclusion. Revenge comes in the form of a single jewel. And you'll find out who's still standing in For Her Benefit.

Amazing installment! Can't wait for the conclusion

I was going to wait until the third book in this trilogy was released to start reading, but I just kept hearing how good it was that I couldn't wait. The suspense, action and characters in this series are phenomenal.

After meeting Ben and Olivia in Big Ben, I just had to see what the second book had in store for them. And I was not disappointed! Adventure, passion, intrigue - this book has it all. The development of their relationship, Ben coming clean to Olivia about the trouble that they're in, it was so well-presented and developed. I can't wait for the rest of their story!

The audiobook for this was FANTASTIC! Both Shane East and Mari injected to much emotion and drama in their narration, and it really enhanced the story. I can't wait for the rest of the conclusion!

In Her Majesty’s London Town

(Book two in the See No Evil Trilogy)

Well I listened to Big Ben (book 1) in one sitting.
I repeated this feat with The Benefactor, the continuing drama between Ben and Olivia.

The adventure evolves as threats to Olivia’s safety become prevalent. More secrets are revealed and leads you to wonder who can be trusted?
There is the seediness of the underground corrupt power players balanced with the sexiness that surrounds the main characters.
The suspense is captivating and when I got to the end I felt bereft because I didn’t want it to be over....and its not...book 3 is on the horizon....

The narrators Mari and Shane East effortlessly portray the characters and with every sigh, gasp, growl or laughter they had me with my headphones on glued to my ears.
I cannot wait for book 3 (with even more sex please and thank you!)

The Benefactor is a revelation.

Ben and Livy are back and unpredictable as ever. Nothing says page-turner like power, greed and danger. Malone never backs down from a challenge, so why should her characters be any different. Big Ben was only the beginning. The Benefactor is a revelation. From out of the shadows comes perhaps the biggest twist of all. The healing power of love.

Wow! Love it!

I'm now a fan of Nana Malone's books. I know it's only book two but she had me at book one. 😍

Her narrators are complete perfection. Bringing Shane East and Mari together is absolute 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Let's just say you will definitely need cold showers because you can feel the chemistry, steamy passion, and the banter these narrators bring to life in these mc's. Nana, your writing is amazing, Whoa!!!

Along with the steam and passion, there's mystery, suspense, secret society stuff that will keep you at the edge of your seat. The supporting characters are amazing and Nana's writing is superb and she knows the intertwines of British society.

My only frustration was with Livee/Olivia. Her stubbornness was exhausting in refusing to believe how Ben really cared. Thank Gawd for her bestie, Tilly ( absolutely wonderful bestie) and Ben's patience. Hell, I almost gave up on her. But Livee is brilliant, beautiful, bold, tough, and a ride or die chick with Ben who's also incredible as well. He knew she owned him.

It's a cliffhanger, but I'm jumping into book three right now. I'm want more. I'm hooked!

My Thoughts on The Benefactor

The Benefactor picked up where Big Ben left off. It jumped right back into the excitement. And then it just didn't let up.

It was such an intense, suspenseful ride. I didn't know who to trust although I knew who I wanted to.

I also knew that I loved Ben and Livy. Their passion and connection was one of the things I loved most about the story. Reading as these two damaged people navigated their relationship while dealing with the secrecy and danger that surrounded them. It was thrilling and just kept me zoned into every word of this story.

Now that I've finished this one I still have one more story to wait for in Ben and Livy's trilogy and I wish it was here already.

Shane East and Mari absolutely rocked this performance. I loved all the emotion and just the overall energy.

Enjoying this trilogy

We continue Ben and Livy story story after the events of Big Ben and immediately start with heart pounding action. I love Livy’s strength and how she doesn’t back down wanting the truth to know about what is going on with Ben. This story is full of twists and turns and will keep you guessing. Shane East and Mari continue to do an incredible job narrating this story. Looking forward to see how this trilogy ends.

Female character is super annoying and female narrator just doesn’t work

Shane East is amazing as always, and the storyline is entertaining, but the female character is very annoying, petulant, weak, and really whiny - maybe that makes it difficult for the female narrator to pull off, but I don’t think the female narrator is a good suit for this role either. Her voice and personality just make the sex talk awkward, not sexy. I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Enjoyed the book

The book was very enjoyable with gripping suspense. I found the London Lords to be highly entertaining, especially Ben. Olivia was so annoying. At times, her behaviour was downright silly. She had double standards between herself and Ben. For example, she argued at Ben about keeping secrets yet felt it was fine to have secrets of her own that actually affected him and the actions of the London Lords. I would have enjoyed the book even if it had been only about that group. I found Olivia so annoying at times that I occasionally found myself hoping that the chapters would stay more with Ben instead of switching to Olivia. :) The narrators were great. They had the ability to speak as the opposite sex and sounded good doing it as well as changing accents when necessary. Hats off to them. Overall, a very good book. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I can’t recommend it enough

The mysteries keep coming! Nothing yet is resolved–since it’s a trilogy–but we get hints of the solution, though it’s still incomplete. There’s so much going on. There’s a lot of subplots, so that can be confusing sometimes, and you can feel that some of them stall while another moves forward. At least, you’re never bored. Neither are Olivia and Ben.

That’s another thing that didn’t seem to move fast enough. After an extra-instalove in the first book, here Ben and Olivia circle around each other, not admitting their feelings. It’s an usual resort in romance, but it’s the second book! Come on, guys! At least, that doesn’t keep them from doing the deed. And oh do they do. It’s intense, it’s filthy, and it’s a complete loss of control. I love that kind of passion in my books.

Olivia’s ghanaian culture is more prominent this time, and it’s quite interesting. Food, art, language, traditions, you get a bit of everything. It was a good idea to make Ben really fascinated by that aspect of his girlfriend. On the opposite, we have some villain showing racism. The multicultural element of the romance is undeniable this time.

The narration is still excellent. That makes for a must have audiobook. It’s an enhanced experience compared with the ebook. I can’t recommend it enough.

Great Second Installment

The second installment of the trilogy. Things just got more exciting. Ben and Olivia trying to navigate a relationship where neither person is willing to actual be truthful about their feelings. At the same time that so many mysteries and betrayals seem to be building around them.
Nana Malone does a great job in building anticipation and I cannot wait for the final book.

Despite the fact that I'm still waiting on part 3, I am confident enough in what i've heard so far to say that this is by far my favorite series so far this year and and for sure near the top of the list for the last several years.
