Publisher's summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Brandon Sanderson, the Mistborn series is a heist story of political intrigue and magical, martial-arts action.

Three hundred years after the events of the Mistborn trilogy, Scadrial is now on the verge of modernity, with railroads to supplement the canals, electric lighting in the streets and the homes of the wealthy, and the first steel-framed skyscrapers racing for the clouds.

The Bands of Mourning are the mythical metal minds owned by the Lord Ruler, said to grant anyone who wears them the powers that the Lord Ruler had at his command. Hardly anyone thinks they really exist. A kandra researcher has returned to Elendel with images that seem to depict the Bands, as well as writings in a language that no one can read. Waxillium Ladrian is recruited to travel south to the city of New Seran to investigate. Along the way he discovers hints that point to the true goals of his uncle Edwarn and the shadowy organization known as The Set.

Mistborn continues, much to my glee

This is the third installment of Mistborn Era 2, glad to hear there is another "The Lost Metal" being written in this new Era. Have grown to like these characters, as I did with the first Mistborn. Steris, has to be the most evolving of them all, as I didn't like her at all two books ago. Wax is on a mission to stop Suit and free his captive sister. He enlists his companions, Wayne, Marasi, and Mielon, but Steris shows she can also be valuable to the cause.
A strange discovery brings about a whole new set of problems for the lawmen, as the Suit's band of outlaws seem to be one step ahead of everyone else in discovering new technology, but they plan to use it to rule the world. This new technology will have a dire consequence for mankind though, when it's secrets are figured out.

Entertaining, absorbing, fascinating...

Another terrific installment in the Mistborn series from Brandon from Brandon Sanderson! I've thoroughly enjoyed the books in this series, particularly the last three. This book furthers the story of Waxillium "Wax" Ladrian, and his fantastical Universe. Written with a comedic bent, filled with action, sci-fi, fantasy and romance. Loved this book! Highly recommended! Superb narration from Michael Kramer! 👍👍

Even after hearing all Sanderson books, great.

Even after having heard every one of Brandon Sanderson's books I still feel like it's the first time I get to hear the literary genius from Sanderson being read by the vocal acting genius of Michael Kramer. every book leaves you like an addict craving for more and more.
