Publisher's summary

In a city at peace, balance means war.

Freshly certified for forensics, Alan is ready to do something meaningful with his photography. He’s teamed up with his friend Jessie on the police force, and not a moment too soon. A serial killer seems to be copying the infamous Metro Ghoul. Lives hang in the balance, and the killer may be more than the police can handle without some help from the shadows.

I need the fourth book!

The narration was phenomenal. Lallo killed it with the third book!
Alan is adjusting to his new job with the police force and, of course, Blot is right there with him... swiping things and memorizing passwords. The dynamic between Blot and Alan is brilliant.
No spoilers.
The prison threat has barely ended and Alan and Blot are back at it again. No where is safe, and enemies and frenemies surround them. Book three pushes Alan’s physical and mental strength to the limits. Alan is a forensic photographer, and that introduces crime scenes into the story (blood, violence, and tragic character backstories)
Alan and Blot learn new things about the supernatural world, but with new knowledge come new challenges. This story world has a lot of depth and complexity.
We learn more about Alan, Jessie, Blot, the white-suits, and so much more. There are some big reveals in this book. Lallo addresses Jessie seeing a Shade (at the end of book two), and that leads to new story elements.
I enjoyed the introduction of mystical elements and the new characters. Gladys is my favorite character in book three. I hope to see her in later books.
Again, you won't be disappointed!
