Interestingly funny & intriquing

It had an interesting plot line and was rather slow moving but I did enjoy it. It was hard to distinguish who was speaking at times. The who-done-it was a surprising twist at the end. Nice for a lazy Sunday afternoon listen.

grandma reads a story

I couldn't get beyond the narrator --- sounded like grandma reading a bedtime story. yawn. terrible. story looked to be good by the reviews but I couldn't get through it.

Not a typical cosy by any means!!

I bought this book due to the title. I thought it would be a light hearted and entertaining read. It is that but more, the depth of the characters brings an intensity to the story. The side anecdotes are entertaining and made me appreciate the ending that tied up all the loose strings. I recommend this book, you will not be sorry you read it by any means.

Surprisingly good

This is a surprisingly good book. The mystery is light and the lead characters are engaging. I gave it 4 stars because the resolution of the mystery is unrealistic. I also think the story would have benefited more a professional narrator. I have already bought the next book and look forward to listening to it.

A Gentle Crime Stiry

I'm not sure if a gentle crime story title I gave it made sense, but the book is interesting and entertaining without all the gore of the usual murder side of it.
Bit predictable in parts, but totally enjoyable.
